Some of the people in this thread are so full of themselves it is embarrassing to watch. They rather issue personal attacks than debate the issue at hand. It all comes down to the fact that this thread was deliberately created to increase hatred of Muslims (look at the title).

First, its not true that Muslims hate all Non-Muslims or all Americans, there are 7 million Muslims in America. How can we. Not to mention many Non-Muslims in the Muslim world living in peace and security, many even call themselves Arabs.

Second, this issue must be seen in light of the chaos and anarchy created by the invasion of Somalia by Ethiopia. If we chose to ignore this, we are doing a great disservice to those who wish to find out the truth about this matter.

As this thread was created with the attention to assign guilt, why does not anyone create a thread about the rape and murder of thousands innocent Muslim Somali women by Christian Ethiopian soldiers? Why are only stories which malign Muslims to the exclusion of all others disseminated on the internet and in the Western media. This would make a very interesting case study. It is normal in the eyes of a Westerner to see Muslims as violent and inhuman, but when it is a Christian, a viewer instinctively does not process it to assign guilt to other Christians.

Third, after reviewing the articles (one by Amnesty international and the other by Somalinet), we find that there is not enough proof to determine what exactly happened if we ignore the article from Somalia. The OP's original post has been shredded to pieces. This thread is done.

Last, Moderators need to shut down this thread as it has become saturated with hate. I find the lack of proper moderation disheartening.

What did we get back well in the glorious colony years we got a few tonne of rice, rice is a much valued commodity, 1 tonne is worth a speck of gold any day of the week.

I care deeply about the rights of women & children & that is my biggest aggrivation with muslims & islam, we are all equal, no man is above women, sam seems to enjoy being the toy of muslim men, who they can have jailed at any time.

I also get seriously pissed off when i see children being brainwashed to hate others, like the 5000 children demonstrating against the west in pakistan 2 years ago.

Muslims & islam need to realize women & children are not toys to manipulate & keep oppressed, & to victimise.

 

America, like other western nations encourage democracies or the lesser of 2 evils in africa, latin america or asia, in latin america or africa most opposing sides or the ruling loonies are usually just as bad as eachother, we do our best, the alternative is to ignore them, & let millions die through wars & starvation.

We have also given billions in aid to pakistan a government that has supported the taliban for over a decade, there government is the lesser of 2 evils.

What can america gain from ethopia or somalia or sudan? nothing its called help, something sam you & your fellow muslims cant grasp, because very few wealthy muslim countries give aid, there attitude is your sick you die, your starving you die.

I dont see one muslim oil country lending a hand, indonesia? nearly all its aid comes from japan, america the west & other asian countries.

Seriously though, you can’t blame me for being a little offended by some of SAM’s posts in this thread.

For the record I do not believe the stereotype that all Muslims are like SAM, in fact I showed some of her posts to a coworker who is Muslim, and she was appalled.
The Muslim faith has taken a lot of bad press because of recent events, but let’s face it, when it comes to doing fucked up shit in the name of religion, Muslims aren’t exactly the only ones (Catholic church, I’m looking in your direction!). But SAM seems to delight in perpetuating the stereotype.

And I do agree that America has followed some very poor policies (too many to list here in fact) as have most other countries but you can’t seriously believe it went like this:

“Here’s some money and guns to go fight your little war, and if you could manage to slit some childrens' throats while you’re at it, that would be great, thanks!”

Just my opinion, don’t flame me too bad!
