I think Obama would have to really fuck things up not to win.

I'm predicting nothing at this time but I have tried to keep in mind what could tip the scales towards McCain. As of now I can come up with only three possibilities: 1. the Bradley effect 2. a terrorist attack on US soil (and even this won't necessarily go to McCain's favor) and 3. a major new gaffe or negative revelation about Obama.

Because Obamas very very loud college base won't vote; they'll go get high...or won't send in their ballots...they just won't get to the polls.

Maybe maybe not. but that's not really enough to predict a mccain victory.

I think its a good reason, but I hear the polls don't normally count the younger votes as "likely voters" to begin with.

Indeed, I doubt Obama's multiple recent gains in what are thought to be battleground states are all because of college students.

Obama supporters are paying people to go to campuses and register people on commission.

No no it isn't. It alone cannot get rid of 14 point leads.

I'm not. I'm just hoping for the almost impossible. As much as I don't like it, Obama is almost certainly assured victory.
