That seems interesting, since Obama is about as likely as Achmedinajad to help the Jewish nation. Also, I didn't know that american jews publicly supported the greatest Antisemite since Hitler.

My point is that people usually decide for themselves who they are going to vote for without waiting for someone to endorse them.

The group who made the original film were not the ones to edit it in the manner that it was finally edited. From the articles, the Council edited the bits they wanted in the film before showing it. And no, the Council was never impartial since they have directly endorsed Obama. That much is obvious.

I'm not saying it was a "ringing endorsement". The original video spoke of both candidates and the majority of the people interviewed refused to give a personal preference on who they would like to have in power. The Jewish Council decided to simply edit out the bits where they spoke of McCain so that it looked like they only spoke of Obama. The original article you posted the second time (which had a further breakdown and correction of the issue) had at least one of the people interviewed who said he would have voted for Obama because Bush, in his personal opinion, was wrong and that his actions had created more problems with Israel. When I rechecked the article later, that bit had been edited out of the article itself. Whether his words when interviewed for the article were also misconstrued remains to be seen.

I have always thought so. But then, that also makes the notion that only Republicans have good policies for Israel equally ridiculous.

    You are seriously delusional.

The support for Israel is bipartisan. But the support from Democrats towards Israel comes from the leadership, not from the lower levels of the party, and much less from the grassroots level. From what I've read so far, the Republicans have historically been friendlier to Israel, be it Nixon, Reagan or Bush jr. (donno about Bush sr.).

Kennedy did not like Israel too much and thought of it as a kind of stone around the America's neck. Carter was very cold to Israel and as soon as his term was over and he leveled some uncalled-for criticism at Israel, he was not received by Begin. During Clinton's years, he has put way too much pressure on the Israeli side for stupid concessions and did not even consider releasing Pollard for all the terrorist scum Israel was releasing... Another thing he did was pressure Netanyahu to release HAMAS' founder, sheikh Yassin. He was friendly over all to Israel, but there are a few pretty nasty stains.

But anyway, almost anywhere you look in America Jews are disproportionally, as a group, favouring Obama and historically, the Democrats.

I think Carter did have the best long term interests of Israel at heart. He was tough on them, but maybe they needed that.

yes because the president of the US should care about another country over his.
Obama isn't an anti-semite. so this second sentence is a complete and utter lie.
