How do you figure? Yes, it is very likely now that we will be attacking Iraq in the near future. I wish we wouldn't, but we probably are. How will this turn into a world war? Do you think arab countries will retaliate? With what? Sure terrorist activity will go up and it could get messy, but I wouldn't call it a world war. I may be wrong, but I see nothing on the scale of what happened 60 years ago... Of course, this would all change if someone got ahold of an A-bomb and dropped it...

Unfortunatly I must agree with fadingCaptain. It seems like everday we slip further and further into the world of 1984. Think about it: The car that was pulled over and searched for no reason whatsoever in Florida.... its happend many many times after that instance, do you really think that they only did it once? Well, change "Bush" to "Clinton" and "2004" to "2000" and you've got exactly what some Conservatives were saying back in 1998-2000. It didn't happen then and it PROBABLY won't happen this go around. For example, the original inhabitants of the islands of the Carribean believed in cannibalism, and they had religious reasons for this. They truly believed it was OK, and they believed if one thought cannibalism was OK or good, that they did not have bad morals (many, actually most, cultures like to dismiss people with morals not agreeing with the cultural norm as "bad") There was nothing wrong with their cannibalism. Perhaps if we were to convince them their religion was wrong, and they decided cannibalism was immoral, but they did it anyways, then their cannibalism would be wrong (in my sense of "wrong" and "right", people following their personal moral system are "right", and people not following their personal moral system are "wrong", meaning that Hitler was not "evil" or "wrong", but simply a normal sane man with some very extreme misguided beliefs about Jews and other groups which he incorporated into his moral systems. What he did was "right", because it went with his moral system.
