Well people, the advertising industry has done it to you again. (an me) I have finally been reduced to installing Zone Alarm to stop them.

A new rash of popups are starting to show up for all windows users. One that the popup killers don't work on.

At random times, the one that was killing me, would popup at an unrelated site to where I got the thing at. A large grey ad that popups up in the center of your screen wanting you to get higher education. There will be more coming down the pipes, be warned.

Master the use of selecting the window and using CTRL+F4.

I think i have faced the kind of popup you r talking about... There is some fuckin popups nowadays, that are'nt really Window Popups, it's just a fuckin layer inside a Html with a flash animation inside, and it takes a big part of your screen in the main page of the site you r trying to read... (like de go.army popup in some game sites), you can't close with Alt+F4, and can't use the popup killer cause you have chosen do open the window (it's the MAIN WINDOW)

    It really sux...

If you hate the pop-ups, try the game.

Also make sure that you dont have gator anywhere on your computer. (It can be inside of other programs to)

And if you have a Bonzi Buddy then Im kickin yo ass.

Lol's. I know Sears and Robuck. No, Gator and Bonzi once got housed here. What a pain. They went the way of deleted files in the next reformat of the hd. They didn't come back.

No this is new. I went looking for a link but so far have not found where I arrived at the one I am talking about. As more of the ad industry finds this effective in getting attention on your screen there will be more of this type of ad seen.

I think you were referring to ad-aware. It is a great program and does a good job. Just be sure that you update the signature files, like you would with anitvirus software.
