SAM, can you say HYPOCRITE? You have nothing but problems with aid from the West, and have never said a thing about China and their hypocrisy on everything from Tibet to Global Warming, Civil Rights to their support for Dictatorships around the Globe. Yes, the Yarlung Zangbo will be diverted by China, and that is going to affect India and Bangladesh, yes China doesn't meddle in other countries does it?
Haaaa - I LOVE it. I kept telling my Chinese buddy Fei that soon China will be the bad guy and America can loss it's war and go back to being the good guy. Wow, it's happened so much quicker than I thought. I was guessing like 2020... He kept saying no no no China doesn't interfere with other countries affairs blah blah blah ... but I told him they will as soon as they start to get some money and power. Um, Robert Mugabe, one of the worlds words dictators and kleptomats, and someone who has killed 200 000 matabele in a genocide, and who is stealing the current elections, and killing more people ... is getting sponsored by China. Now if the west were evil and stupid enough to supply Mugabe now... I am sure that I would be making just as much noise, but right now they have SANCTIONS against Zimbabwe... so theyre doing everything right here at the moment. So the reason no one is complaining about aid and arms packages from the west... is because there is none. Russia and China and one or two mulsim countries are the only people supporting Mugabe. Basically the siff countries in the world.

That ship thing was so cool. Even the trade unions here in South Africa got together and promised not to unload it. Unless it unloaded secretly. I see the headline.. Thats missleading. Our asshole president and army people wanted to allow the weapons to get to zimbabwe (theyre mugabe supporters)... it was the unions in South Africa that basically went on "strike" that stopped those weapons from being offloaded in South Africa. US and Britian have done about as much as my president to stop whats happening in Zimbabwe... ie.. nothing but strongly worded rhetoric. Talk about trying to claim a victory. Though if the US and Britian can get all SADC countries to agree to a Zim arms embargo, that would be a good thing, at the first useful thing they have done.
There is no good guy or bad guy. We stay out of other countrys affairs and if they want to buy we sell. Nothing wrong with that. I am sure the White men who ravaged and almost exterminated all native American's and aus aboriginals will prob call us angels.
Now that is Ubuntu. Africa will thrive when the people of Africa show their governments that power comes only from the people, and that if the governments do not heed the people, that power will be taken away. The Unions may have had an ulterior motive - preventing more Zimbabweans from having to flee into South Africa and look for jobs there - but their action is still the correct one.
