Probably to protect the illegal settlers there. Apparently many of those killed in Jerusalem were settlers from the West Bank.

 

It would seem more productive for them to build a wall around Gaza until Hamas is exterminated....

This is the West Bank we're talking about.

Too bad there is nothing the Palestinians can do to protect themselves from Israeli snipers, tanks, bulldozers, missiles, warplanes and warships. Not to mention the blockades on food fuel education and employment. Or the bombing of their homes, hospitals, electric grids, cop stations. Or the shut down of sanitation services. Or... but you get the picture.

I wonder what the Israelis would do if the situation were reversed.
