Democracy is merely mob rule, where 51% of the population can have their way without the other 49%

By the way, that isn't my quote but it is quite true.

Please clarify, I don't think so. Democracy in itself is flawed; don't confuse it with civil liberties or freedom. The method of government democracy is only slightly better than dictatorship.

The method of government. However, democratic governments tend to be more respectful towards Human rights than totalitarian states. But the method of government PURELY (not the rights, not the style of life) is flawed. It is simply mob rule.

Ron Paul this morning: "Victory in the conventional sense in the presidential race is not achievable...."

Sounds like he agrees with me...He was talking generally...

Beside Churchill being an asshole, the statement is too general. Worst or best are subjective words. If you are in power, royalty or dictatorship is the best form. Feudalism works perfectly for the 7000 Saudi Arabian princess, not so well for the population...

The best government is a combination of a benevolent leader with a council, fascism, meritocracy (for elections), and then with the right of the citizens to voice and/or affect the actions of the government on certain matters.
