Apart of galactica, star wars and star trek i cant find many movies whith space battles. I wonder if there are many. I have seen images from some old ones but I dont know the titles.

Stargate (SG1 & Atlantis) has some cool moments. Someone here said: 'The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension'...which I've never seen so, not sure if any space battles abound. Just an interesting name. Starship Troopers Some of the (Mobile Suit) Gundam series takes place in space. There was another anime series about a boy who ends up on a space-ship controlled by girls. He has a mech which can fuse with the girls' mechs to create even stronger forces. At one point he begins to pilot the girls' mother-ship. Some cool battle scenes in there, if memory serves me correct (which it aint lately). Vanguard was the name. Voices of a Distant Star.
One of my personal favorites. That, ohh so often flip/slips the Mind. V. Title. The name of the show is "V". Great 80's series. Ate meeces, you know. All kinds of wild crazy stuff.
what always amuses me about battles in space, in sci fi - is sound!! Space has no sound! In Space nobody can hear you scream!!
Now THAT is my favourite of all. BUT, B5 was more a storyline than specific battles. Even the shadow war went along several episodes. and was all the better for it.
I know you already mentioned BattleStar Galactica, but the episode where they rescued the colonists being held by the Cylons was one of my favorite space battles in any movie or TV show. I loved the scene where the Galactica jumped from deep space and emerged from hyperspace in the atmosphere about 30 feet above the ground. Just a great episode!

I jus dont like the recent cgi-all sci-fi space series/movies...just don like it. I want to see the soul of a movie, space saga...not the lame BattleStarGalactica zooming in and out effects.
