It's interesting to compare Clinton's Wikipedia entry with W's. W's seems to have been written by whoever wrote his campaign autobiography. But relevantly: W has also been accused of rape, affairs, etc, just as well substantiated by evidence (although not as well publicised, and without millionaire funding for lawyers etc) as the Paula Jones or Juanita Broaddick accusations against Clinton (Google Margie Schoedinger or Tammie Phillips). Wikipedia's W entry is silent about them. In general they have attracted very little attention, perhaps overlooked by that eagle-eyed scandal-mongering liberal media. Which is perhaps why people don't bring them up all the time, when yet another political and Party associate of W's is caught with his pants down - or accused of down-pantsing, anyway. But Clinton aside, no matter how fascinating the real and fictionalized life of his penis seems to be for some, the interesting feature in the McCain story seems to be the lobbyist connection - the influence, not the ass. Not her ass, anyway. The US has no such body. It used to be a function of the Attorney General's office - not lately, though. The Left doesn't have a candidate. Neither do the Libertarians. The Libertarian Left - which is a majority of the population, issue by issue - is doubly screwed.

iceaura I will probably make this a new thread (latter because im tired) but i do have to wonder. If its the job of the justice department how can it be independent. I mean what if the corupt indervidual was the attornie general or the president (his boss)? Why do you not have a statory body to deal with this stuff that is INDEPEDENT of the political system and the police? Thats what the debate in SA is about, wether the Aditor general and the police integrity board (which is still part of the police force) can be truly independent and actually investigate 1) police coruption 2) local council coruption and 3) State goverment and goverment department coruption The answer from the other states was no (SA is a little behind in this unfortunatly)

Although you do have a point, the religious right might have a problem with it... Also a problem of national security, when the prez can be blackmailed...
the fact that he could be blackmailed just shows what your country is really like. That you would force a president to resign over something that happens in his private life Or if your saying he could be blackmailed against his wife then you are electing VERY weak inderviduals, who would put hiding an affair above the welfare of the country. You REALLY need an indepenedent board against coruption if this is a real fear
