I got one for Christmas and just the game that comes with it (Wii sports) is a lot of fun. Very few cons to it, although the setup is rather frustrating, but once you have everything going, it has almost no down sides to it.

I will just do the purchasing, I will not be installing it. If it is as frustrating as you say though, I will be listening to alot of swearing going on lol

I think I have decided I am going to get it for him. His Birthday is on March Break. I think he would have alot of fun with it esp during that week.

 

They have so much equipment to prevent that from happening now.

Wrist straps and gel remote covers so even if it does fly into the TV, it hopefully will not break it. But even so, my personal advice to you is to not go crazy with Wii boxing, just as a precaution.

lol yea my little brother got one and it's geat family console it's worht the buy.

 

One thing though wear the damm wrist strap i was playing with the controler and it slipped and went straight into my mirrior lol

If you want family fun sure. Not for individuals ,as there isn't a game with a storyline thats really good.
My dad got a wii, but he doesn't have anyone to play it with, so it wasn't a good choice. Wii is a family, exercise oriented thing.

I know it was scarce around Christmas but come on!!!!!!

 

Shorty we had the same problem in England before Christmas but my g/f walked into a shop and they had loads. I am sure they are about but you might need some luck in finding them.

Here in the UK there is a web site that people post if they know where any are. Maybe there is a simalir site where you are?

 

I was wondering if things were different in Canada than they were here. I called every day at at least 6 different stores for over a month before I got lucky and got one.
Keep calling, it will be worth it for your son. Just make sure he knows, I'm a firm believer in guilt.

I love my Wii. Have quite a few games for it and will be buying a ton more in the coming months. I have a whole list of all the good up-and-coming ones.

The games look pretty good. They are totally different than the ones we have for the XBOX. I also saw that they have a charger to recharge the controllers. I love that idea instead of changing batteries all the time.

Does anyone have the charger, and does it work well?

 

Batteries work fine for the wii, and chargers are a little extra money ($45 minimum). I would not suggest buying a charger unless you have four controllers.

 

I actually saw the charger for $31.00 It said it recharges 1 in 2 hours or
2 in 4 hours. Of course I won't need a charger if I can't find a Wii lol

I think it is redicolous. You can find the PS3 and Xbox 360 everywhere at this time of yr. It's like they give each store such an limited quantity, and they are sold out before they barely hit the shelf.
