What I am trying to understand is in an election where only conservatives (Republicans) vote, they elect a "liberal", Mr. McCain. I have always thought of McCain as a conservative...certianly on social, military and fiscal issues.

He authored the shamnesty bill giving citizenship to millions of criminal aliens who broke our laws to get/stay here. He voted against W's tax cuts. He's too soft on terrorists.
