When I think that the closure of a thread was wrong, I think I have the right to ask for a discussion of it.

MOD HAT: For reposting a thread the mods had closed, and for trolling you are banned for one day, please think about wether you wish to remain a productive memeber of this board

    So much for 'Open Government'.

Why not just trash this subforum? Clearly it serves no purpose.

I think that having a discussion about the reasons for the closure of a thread is a good idea. It might help to avoid the creation of threads that are doomed to closure in the future. However, private messages would probably be a better medium of communication, as the discussion is direct and there are no additional threads made that clutter the forums. The thread I believe MetaKron referred to was angrybellsprout's "Equal Right To Pay The Bills" in which the assertion was made that females use sex as an indirect way of not paying the bills. I also believe that it was closed because the assertion was not given adequate evidence and was viewed as sexist. Thus the topic was closed.

    Edit:
Then again, moderators should provide clear reasons as to why a thread is locked in the first place... which appears to have been done for said thread.
Also, this thread is of a different nature than the objection to locking the "Equal Right To Pay The Bills" thread.
It poses the question of necessity for the "right" to create threads discussing / debating the closure of other threads.
