How is this different from B HUSSEIN Obama's coke use? Other than cocaine being an illicit, recreational ILLEGAL drug, and oxycontin being a prescription pain drug?

This is actually not true. It is enough if the sourcecode is rigged for the whole system, something like this:

    1. If the winner is W, go to #3..
    2. If the winner is Kerry, change Kerry to W, go to #3.
    3. Report winner.

Quite easy. Also it comes down to math. When an election is that close, it is enough to rig a 10-20 machines in the right district to have the desired effect

Obama never made the histrionic, panicked calls for things like deporting drug users.

It is, as the cartoon suggests, a matter of integrity. But I'm aware that has little importance to you.

Obama used ILLEGAL drugs. Rush got addicted to prescription drugs. They're both stupid. But why is it ok/forgivable/forgettable for liberals and not conservatives?

The question at present, regarding Rudy Giuliani, is that of New Hampshire, come Tuesday. After suffering an embarrassing sixth-place finish in the Iowa caucuses (4%), what will a primary vote bring? In New Hampshire, polls suggest Giuliani is fighting for third place, trailing McCain and Romney, and barely edging Huckabee.

The larger question, I suppose, is how long before Hizzoner rolls up the campaign, or whether he has a comeback in store for us.

i saw a documentery for someone who has the balls and the know how it is relativly simple. also next to untraceable. all you need is access to the cards the data gets gets saved on. you add votes to who you want to when and subtract an equal number from another candidate and it still comes out on the test run as equalling zero. in fact there is some evidence that this happened to get bushed elected. there were reports in 2000 04 of the dem candidate getting negative vote totals

Tiassa, for fun you should open a file on Tancredo and some of the ads he's done.

    It's not the drugs, Sandy

It doesn't matter about liberals and conservatives. What matters is hypocrisy. It's the same thing W did. I could care less, in practice, whether or not he did coke or got busted for DUI. What bugged me about it is that he made a political career fighting on the wrong side of the Drug War, and then considered himself too privileged and elite to ever have to discuss his past. People are rotting in prison, and all for the pride of two-bit liars like Bush.

If you've done illegal drugs or been addicted to drugs, you better damn well have a good reason why you shouldn't suffer the same fate you demand for others in your situation. Really, I didn't think the cartoon was that tough to figure out.

In the first place, there's nothing snide about observing the essential nature of your dishonest political representation. To the other, do you really think I care about the feelings of a tacky façade?

Really, Sandy, it's the artifice of your character that bugs people. Because few people on the planet are as stupid as the part you play, and most of those we'd be surprised if they could turn on a computer. You could file another 4,096 posts. You could file another 4,000,096 posts. And people wouldn't be despising you because they're not seeing anything genuine about the character you're playing. In fact, the only conclusion anyone can justly draw from your time here so far is that behind those posts is someone in need of help. Having a good laugh at the expense of Christians and Republicans is one thing, but you really are taking this too far. We're only humoring you, and, as you're aware, that only goes so far.

You're right, if ALL the states used the same machines and one person had access to the source code and then those subsequent machines WEREN'T audited by separate, independent monitoring service and which services aren't even the same from one county to the next, let alone, from one state to the next.

In Ohio, we use Brinks machines (but we're switching to HP because of contract issues). The Machines are OWNED by the counties and are serviced through county contracts. The are each put through "test votes" at the opening and closing of each polling station and randomly tested during the process of each day. They pass, with flying colors. But, sure, some ultra secret code that you've imagined has been programmed in to hundreds of machines which have passed batteries of testes from beginning to end.

Again, to mimic Counte, you have no clue as to what you're talking about and need research the topic a little more thoroughly.

Tancredo was great. Too bad he was a one-trick pony.

I thought personal attacks were bannable offenses. Just because you can't debate an issue doesn't mean you should resort to personal attacks. Oh, I forgot, that's how liberals debate.

Your personal attacks are snide. Your thinly veiled attacks are pathetic. Knock it off.

I am EXACTLY who I represent to be here. There are MILLIONS of us. We elected W. TWICE! We are the cream of the crop of the USA. We are honest, decent, patriotic CCRs. :yay:

There's nothing thinly veiled about what I'm saying, Sandy. The truth of the matter is that I don't believe you're playing an honest part because it is not in my nature to think so lowly of my fellow human beings.

    (Insert title here)

    You don't get it yet:

Compared to what happens if I pretend you're playing an honest part, this is civilized.

I laid out a brief explanation of the basic charge, and the lack of any proper response on your part notwithstanding, the remainder of your conduct since then has only solidified my opinion.

Your lack of faith in God, your ridiculously overblown pride, your vilification of compassion, your devotion to earthly symbols, and your devotion to making these attributes so damnably visible wrecks the credibility of your claim to be a Christian.

I am among those who celebrate every weakening of the Christian stranglehold on the human condition. I am one who considers the religion in general—with few exceptions—a cancer on the human endeavor. Yet I would not insult my Christian neighbors by counting the attitude you portray among them.

And since you raised the subject, as a moderator I am supposed to act in defense of the best interests of this site. And those interests include identifying trolls. J'accuse!

Perhaps others are willing to keep you around as a piñata, but I don't see the reward in it.

So get on with it. And if you can't handle relevant observations, such as your general disregard for integrity (apparent in your comments in #21 and #24), that's not my problem. Personally, I can't believe you need it spelled out. It's just like the gay Republicans. Ordinarily I couldn't care less who's doing what or whom, except for the odd coincidence of people who call for the harsh punishment or disenfranchisement of others who do the same things they do. Is it just you that cannot grasp such a point, or does it escape CCRs in general?

It has little, if anything to do with Obama's political affiliation. Rather, it has to do with the fact that Obama never shouted for draconian punishments for people who did what he did (integrity), and, also unlike Limbaugh, Obama was smart enough to stop using the stuff before he got caught (intelligence).

What is so difficult to comprehend about that? How is it that integrity and intelligence are so irrelevant to your outlook?

The point is kind of moot now. Rush won't run. He doesn't want the character assassination that comes with being POTUS. Or the pay cut.

    Briefly:

    (1) Statements reasonably reflective of the truth are not personal attacks.

    (2) You seem unable to discuss/debate a topic at all, as evidenced by your statements in posts #21 and 24.
—Your penchant for inventing a topic does not reflect well on you, Sandy. I mean, I even used the word "hypocrisy" and offered you a pictorial explanation (#20) and you still came back with an irrelevant question. Twice. Why?

As the crown prince of character assassination (behind King R. M. Scaife), Rush has every reason to be paranoid; he's a standard bearer for sleaze. Besides, having negotiated his way out of prison in a way that most victims of the drug war aren't allowed to, he's already committed character suicide. "Character assassination" in this case would be an act of beating a dead horse.

It's not that difficult, nor does it involve any such degree of complexity.

Only a few states need be corrupted, there aren't that many different kinds of machines, the oversight and auditing is not only corruptible - in Ohio, you must have seen that pretty flagrantly - but inadequate, and the entire situation ripe for abuse.

And that is just the machines. Didn't somebody from Ohio go to jail for other frauds - Ohio the state that threw the electoral vote to W in '04 ?

We have seen two consecutive national elections, and any number of local ones, apparently stolen - at least, that is the obvious and most tenable explanation for the patterns of anomaly observed - and complacency in the approach of another one is not warranted.
