2012? The world ends! Really the best bet for humanity as well as the world is for about 1% of the population to survive. Zombies? Flood? Maybe just EMP's everywhere, with no electricity I am more then sure people would just kill themselves.
I hope robots kill us all. Self replicating and self updating robots. Like an ipod mixed with a monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey with a personality mod based on Charles Manson. Yeah, that sounds good. I can see them now, playing folk music while it massacres people and builds newer versions of itself to fly around the universe extending its family. Brings a tear to my eye.
