Only the red seemed a little harsh on the eyes. Green and blue are softer.

Bebelina has long used color in her posts to indicate emotion and what kind...

    The story is unfolding.
I spoke with the mother yesterday.
She met my father at the drug clinic in 1979, they had an affair. He left before she knew she was pregnant. She claims that she didn't remember his last name and have therfore not been able to find him. Although she could have just asked at the drug clinic, they must have had his full name registered there somewhere.

Anyway, she already had a husband, so maybe she didn't want him to know, or hoped that the child was his instead. But when the girl grew up she could by the appearance of her see that she was not her husbands daughter by my fahters. The girl has however grown up with fosterparents, since the mother was a drug addict, but they have stayed in contact.

Now, she found out where my father was through a friend of my fahter who recently came to the drug clinic she is at now, and he asked if she knew anyone from the town he came from, and she said my fathers first name. And he then replied by saying his last name. Then she realized that this was the real father of her daughter , that she said that she had been looking for for the last 23 years. ( although I find that hard to believe, but for whatever reasons she didn't want to find him until now). She sent him a letter hoping that he would not be angry and didn't want anything to do with them. But of course he wants to see her and get to know her, anything else would be heartless.
Anyway, the mother will speak about this with her daughter in the 4th of October, when they are to meet in Stockholm. Then the daughter can decide if she wants to meet her real father and his family or not. A dna test will be done.
But she thought she would be glad to know and I hope so too. Apparently she didn't live in Stockholm, but in another small town up north, very near to where I live now. So maybe I will meet her soon.
She is taking a truck driving license right now, the mother said, and is rereading highschool. That made me smile a bit, wondering if she is the direct opposite of me. Her name is Jenny.

You must be having mixed feelings about finding all this stuff out now. I hope it turns out to be a good thing.

I saw someone asking you not to use colour like you usually do, and it made me wonder about people with colour blindness - how do they 'see' the colours in your posts.

I used to work with a man who was colour blind and he said all he could see was red and white. Weird.

    Anyone know anything about it?

    Cheers.
    Teri.

Yes, I also have a friend who is colorblind, he can't see any difference between red and green for example. But I'm sure they can see difference between light and dark, as in this forum with black background and text upon that in any colour must be brighter and therefor seen, or?

Then would yellow on a white background be hard to read?

The human species really do have some funny quirks - and I mean that in a nice way, because the differences in people is what makes life interesting.

    Cheers

Yellow on white background would be hard for anybody to read. For a colourblind person on this forum the black background setting would be to suggest.

Who knows you've met already without even knowing it.

I hope it will all turn out well for your (half) sister, too.

Sorry I missed your post earlier. Was not on the boards for a little while and found your thread back on page three, today.

Please, keep the colours in, it makes you here at sciforums, even the "screaming" red...

black on a white background is the highest value contrast you can have, so colors actually make it more difficult for a colorblind person to see.
