Uh, you're either a liar, or you went to Europe forty years ago, or you have very selective memory.

Women from EAST GERMANY used to not shave but now they all do it. And as far as the rest of Europe is concerned, the women there all keep smooth... I should know.

The ones I know didn't even stop at shaving their legs, and included pubic hair on the list too.

And if you go to a sportschool in germany to the sauna you will find many men also fully shaven, and basically all woman partially shaven down below or fully.

 

As a yank living in europe for 9 years now I can say that this is not the case. When I first came here there were a few feminist types that didn't shave as a protest(same could be found when I went to art school in the states) but I have almost never seen unshaved legs and armpits here, hell they even shave thier mustaches!
