anyways- in my oppinion " Vampire Lestat" is better, but Queen of the Damned is worth to read, if just for curiosity of what happens next.

Pigmalion by Bernard Shaw (Russian translation).
Not exactly a book. It's a play. A nice one too.

A book... hmm... "Sphere" by Michael Krichton (Hebrew translation).

No, a book by Thomas Harris, the guy who wrote Silence of the Lambs.

I'll pick up Queen of the Damned.

Javascript - ugh. The formatting is very annoying, and it is soooo bloody easy to get errors from the smallest mistakes.

Hey Pollux 5! I've just borrowed Childhood's End! It looks promising, and I'm only just beginning.

It reminds me of Orson Scott Card's book The Worthing Saga, because they kind of have the same idea; but I won't be able to compare them until I've finished Childhood's End.

    slash fiction

in a nutshell, it deals with homo affairs b/w popular fictional characters
eg: kirk/spock, mulder/skinner etc (hence the term slash)

anyone here read this stuff, know people who do?
seems to have more of a female audience

my understanding used to be that most women were unnerved/disgusted...
by male on male sex (ewwwww)

I read The Mummy, aka Ramesses the Damned a while ago, quite a good book. Then read Memoirs of Cleopatra (Margaret George) and now onto a fantasy Trilogy, I'm on Bk 2, Mistress of the Empire by Raymond Feist and Janny Wurts.

    imho- Vampire Lestat is best

then you could read Interview with Vampire

    then Queen of the Damned

-> the real sequence is Interview->Lestat->Queen though

then there is also Body Thief (4), but I haven't and probably won't read it
    (although I have it)

    Considering The World Events

    I would suggest some old classical reading;

"Milia 18", and "Catcher In The Rye"
