InBev, (formerly Interbrew), escaped without a penalty because it provided "decisive information" about the cartel which operated between 1996 and 1999 and others in the EU market. The brewers controlled 95% of the Dutch market, with Heineken claiming a half and the three others 15% each.[3]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heineken If Heineken has 1/2 the Dutch market, how can it be cheap? If Heineken is price fixing, how can it be cheap?
Because its standard lager. factory piss. Of course Euroshopper beer is a lot cheaper. But a palmpje, duveltje or hoegaarden is still more expensive. Heineken. Crate of 24 bottles a 0.3 liter - 9.89 euro Palm - same thing - 13.25 euro understand the concept?
yeah, most massed produced beers are. Little breweries do have better beer, its just that a lot of us are used to crap and don't recognize the good stuff when we drink it. We have some micro-breweries around here and I'm really trying to upgrade my palate.
Killian's Red, Sam Adams or, on a REALLY hot day,Gordon Biersch Hefeweizen, chilled nearly to the point of freezing, with a squeeze of lemon. ~String
Then why don't I feel drawn to the good stuff? Probably because it's too expensive. See - I'm cheap and drink cheap beer!
Ya' know something? What the hell does it matter that a person likes a McBeer. I love Miller Lite! I drink a lot of it. It ends up being my beer of choice because (a) I love beer, (b) it's cheep, (c) it's available everywhere, and (d) it's pretty low in carbs/calories. I can't stand snobs of any variety. Champagne snobs. Movie snobs. Book snobs. Beer snobs. Who cares! A person likes what they like. ~String
i dont know, it says does the beer you drink say anything about your personality! i thought you'd know
I don't drink beer at all (with the exception of a good Hefeweizen once in a blue moon - maybe once a year). I mainly drink red wine. Whay do you think that says about me?
Technically, yeah.. Alcohol is the toxic by-product of yeast performing anaerobic oxidation of sugars.. It rises to a certain concentration after which the yeast dies because it's literally floating in its own "urine", filter out the yeast's food source and most of the dead organism and you get beer - So, beer drinkers relish consuming the effluent discharge and supporting fluids of an organism normally associated with fungal infections in a variety of unpleasant places.. And to think some people dont eat mushrooms..?!
