childhood memories

what things stick out from your childhood?
things i remember are:

* Astro Boy
* Hair Scrunchies
* Care Bears
* balloons were so cool
* Spice Girls were all 5 year old girls' idols *shame*
* Birthday parties at Maccas

* fallen crumbled buildings with rusty iron (Soviet Union collapsed) and everlasting making of buildings
* loneness everlasting (my mom and dad were gone for 5 years)
* preachings of the seventh day saints ( I still turned out to be a buddhist in the end)
* nights and days working on a farm collecting potato eating bugs and squesshing/killing them.
* High speed biking over beautiful town of Voronezh

Ah some memories from my much much younger days includes...
- Falling asleep watching ET while loving every minute of Aliens when they first came out in cinemas.
- Being left-handed when I was younger (now I can use both though generally use the right for just for writing)
- Bad 80's clothes.
- Growing up on Doraemon, Macross and Gundam anime and reading manga.
- Playing pong. Liking video games since young.
- Being too lazy to peel prawns though I love them... doh.

 

- Walking the forests with my grandfather
- Evading soviet black ops
- Playing in the dark
- Riding my bike all day
- Cleaning rifles and taking and developing photographs
- Fishing

 

i remember laying naked on a table, i was in diapers and my cousin 9months yiunger was to my left i remember peeing and beinscared of the people loooking down on me. they were laughuing and my pee went straigfht up, that is the end of that memory.

i remember crawing on tbhe floor and people calling me...come john come, snapping fingers laughuing fear or excitement i dont think i had the abiility to understabnd which emotion it was.

i remember standing up in my crib

i remember my mother throwing my sucker thing out the second floor window

i remember being washed in a sink annd the sprayer going over my head.

 

playing with my siblings

playing on buildings under construction

trying to smoke cigarette, drinking alcohol

chasing after and scaring off girls

swimming in a river

 

getting hit with a leg of a chair with a nail in it, lots and lots of yelling and name calling.

yeh everything was so much simpler..and im only a fucking teenager lol

 

Simpler? Not for me. There were other difficulties.

I wouldn't. You are dependent on others. You have very limited freedom. You can't realize your projects and ideas.

As a grown up I'm free to do with my life what I want to do and I have more and better means to do it.

People psychologically tend to remember the best and forget what sucked.

 

yeah me too. but.. i guess i will always be a kid in a way haha

Well thats all true ofcourse, its just that as kid you dont have a care in the world and thats a form of freedom too.
I realize that doesnt go for everybody, but it did for me.
