i was reading up on people who say they have mastered telekinesis.

If its real, how do you think it would be possible to use it? like what exactly would your mind have to do to move things?

I can only think of a electromagnetism here. I do know there are people who have so much static electricity that their hands are magnetic...perhaps some have it so much that they can store it and release it...acting like a capacitor. It is theoretically possible, however at a high cost...one spark and cells are damaged...I am sure those people are unstable.

No, it's not real. People have been claiming that for ages but no one has ever shown true proof that they can do it. Anumber of prizes have been offered to anyone who can demonstrate it - and they all remain unclaimed.

my mind moves my body all the damn time, how do you get around?

    peace.

I worked out that in order for anything with mass to move it would require something of equal or greater mass being exerted upon it. Therefore telekinesis is impossible unless the mind can somehow generate a field of mass whereby an object is moved, but if done what would it be made of?

Something of equal or larger amount of mass is not required to move mass.

    Force is required.

People can lift and move objects with more mass than them.

yeah i know lots of people who can bench press more than thier own bodyweight. i can bench over 100 kg and i only weight around 95 myself. im still tiny.

    peace.

gravity is telekinesis. rocks don't have a mind so they can only use default attraction. humans can move things with their mind in infinite freedom because they have free will.

there's nothing strange about it. in a dream everything is mind-power. everything is connected by thoughts. if you can move your hand, you can move something outside* your body. it's the same thing.

*the 'outside' is inside your mind

energy. everything is made of nothing. physicists say that matter is 99.?% empty space.

(energy is made of 6 letters and a few thoughts)

Hmmmm. Well, F=ma...so to get a mass to accelerate (move) you will need force. So the answer to your question is, the brain would have to create some sort of force. Any indication as to what type of force that could be is beyond me. Possibly some sort of electrical energy creating some sort of field with a force (since the body, and brain, is constantly sending electrical impulses within itself). Though how you would focus that onto and object and not just have it radiate from you I have no idea. Or possibly some sort of thermal force, or magnetic. No clue. Maybe a combination of many forces.

Since everything is made of atoms, if you somehow had control over individual atoms within yourself (as they are you) maybe you could send out some atoms to cause an atomic 'chain' to be made in which to become a puppeteer. But this is only sillyness, no?

We are talking real world here, not dreams.
And.. 99.?% empty space does not equal nothing.

No it is not sillyness. Yes, I believe that one can do it...someday.

Well, thats Quantum mechs, though I doubt it. But I think James Bond made a film called "never say never"

the real world... is a sort of dream...

it does, because trying to find the last ?% is like trying to find the end of pi. it can never be found.

the something that makes up everything can't equal anything but nothing because the world can only be made of two things: something or nothing

if it's made of something, then we can never find out what something is made of because everything we will ever find (infinity) will be something (whatever we choose to call it: atoms, electrons, chairs...). the only logical possibility is that the "something" is nothing (infinity)...

    just like in a dream:

everything you see is a part of you...
    because they are your thoughts...
but you think they are separate from you...
and that's why they are separate from you...

if you think you are awake, you are dreaming...
if you realize that you're dreaming, you are awake...

    and... you can do anything...

(you are me... i am you...)
