Wahhabi isn't a sect. It's a sub-group of Sunni Islam. Though I nor most of the Muslims are in the habit of classifying people by sects, we prefer to call them Muslim and identify them by their scholars. Please list some major Shiat/Sunni organizations who are opposed to CAIR. Also, I have never heard of Kabbani, which mosque does he represent, what area? From my experience, CAIR is viewed as an overly moderate organization by the majority of Muslims in America, though almost all Muslim Americans have a positive outlook on CAIR because of their defense of Muslims' civil rights. This is the only civil rights organization which exclusively defends and protects American Muslims, Muslims need CAIR for survival in this country. By defaming CAIR, people are essentially attacking the whole American Muslim community as they represent the wills and aspirations of our community to live in peace and harmony, with human rights, in this country. Examples please. In case you weren't informed, the majority of American Muslims view Salman Rashidi as a traitor and a foe for further alienating and increasing hatred of Islam and Muslims.
