I'd recommend www.anti-cair.net. There's a ton of evidence that CAIR is extremely questionable in its associations, besides the half dozen members arrested for their involvement with terrorism funding and so forth.

Omar Ahmad, Co-Founder: "isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

One would assume on the basis of statements like these that moderates such as yourself would oppose them, DH. Unless you quietly and tacitly agree with them, of course, which you've kind of alluded to already. In which case: let the silence deafen.

*U.S. Senator Richard Durbin: "[CAIR is] unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect"

*U.S. Senator Charles Schumer: "we know [CAIR] has ties to terrorism", "intimate links with Hamas"

    Hi Geoff

The link you gave at the beginning doesn't work, try this:

    http://www.anti-cair-net.org/

    Quote from http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Printable.asp?ID=9981

"On that day, the eve of the second anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, CAIR faced up to its own terrorist connections."

Wahhabi isn't a sect. It's a sub-group of Sunni Islam. Though I nor most of the Muslims are in the habit of classifying people by sects, we prefer to call them Muslim and identify them by their scholars.

Please list some major Shiat/Sunni organizations who are opposed to CAIR.

Also, I have never heard of Kabbani, which mosque does he represent, what area?

From my experience, CAIR is viewed as an overly moderate organization by the majority of Muslims in America, though almost all Muslim Americans have a positive outlook on CAIR because of their defense of Muslims' civil rights. This is the only civil rights organization which exclusively defends and protects American Muslims, Muslims need CAIR for survival in this country.

By defaming CAIR, people are essentially attacking the whole American Muslim community as they represent the wills and aspirations of our community to live in peace and harmony, with human rights, in this country.

    Examples please.

In case you weren't informed, the majority of American Muslims view Salman Rashidi as a traitor and a foe for further alienating and increasing hatred of Islam and Muslims.

Explain this in more detail, I am very interested in this.

What are you trying to imply here?

    Please explain this more also.

Do you mean allowing a Muslim congressman to be sworn in on a Quran? Since when is that illegal in America? Is he bothering anyone?

Should congressmen who are sworn in on their Torat also yield this right? Should we ban the swearing in on the Bible as well?

Just a few months ago, the US congress opened with a Hindu prayer (I read it on these forums), so why are you only attacking Muslims for doing this?

Muslims have as much right to be part of American society than anyone else. CAIR is doing a great job in helping the Muslim community in this.

You can defend them till the cows come home. I will never believe CAIR is peaceful. They are a thinly veiled terror org with terror-connected/supported founders.

We wiretap and "spy" because we HAVE to. Since the Carter/Iran debacle in 1979 NO ONE is safe if we don't.

And the connection is? and the U.S. shut down Sinn Fein money and arms conduits to Ireland, and I never heard the general Catholic population up in arms or defending the terrorist of Sinn Fein.

Illegal wiretapping is like wiretapping the same way illegal immigration is like immigration.

    Why go so far back?

See US and al Qaeda, US and Wahabbi regimes, US and Kurdish terrorists, US and Jundullah, among others.

There is far more substantive evidence of the US government support for terrorism that there is for any other group.

    Eventually.
Since Sinn Fein had (at one time) approx 75% of the seats in parliament, 10 out of 12 city councils and were the largest party in Ireland for 40 years the support must have come from somewhere, no?

Wiretapping (legally or not) is essential to the defence of the country.

Illegal immigration is a pain in the ass.

So what does that have to do with the Catholic population of the U.S. or politics in the U.S., and right now CAIR is a problem for and in America with it's support of Islamic Terrorist.

Thinly disguised front for a terrorist organisation in my own country funded (and supported) by a foreign regime?
But it wasn't the US that had the problems so it doesn't matter, right?

Illegal wiretapping is a threat to the very principles on which our nation is based.

Are referring to the very principles of the UK ??

There aren't any principles here now bud. The "Great" has been dropped from Great Britain, it isnt great at all. Freedom of speech has suffocated under a deluge of political correctness, Our way of life have been thrown to the wind, and now we are expected to bow down and not offend certain minorities in this country.
