Alright, here it is, the fabled Warcraft 3 discussion thread. Let me just point out that I LOVE THIS GAME. THIS GAME IS A WONDERFUL WORK OF ART!!! Okay, thank you, please, hold your applause...

I'd have to say that my favorite race at the moment is the Night Elves. Chimaeras, in a large force, are unstoppable.

Second to that I'd say Humans, because the dwarven hero guy is the best hero in the game that I've come across.

I've beat the computer twice. I can do that!

I like the Humans the best because they're easy to manage and have Grifin riders and Dwarf gunmen (hillarious unit). But close second is undead - they're awesome!

How far hae you gotten on the campaign? I haven't played it in a while cause I'm addicted to Diablo 2 now severely.

I've beaten the computer at least once, but I haven't played enough. Diablo summons me.

And I gotta get the Warcraft cinematics DVD, the story and the cinematics are the best!

So far I've found the humans and the night elves to be the coolest. The dwarf hero is by far the best human hero (I've hurled his hammer thing at the fleeing computer's hero so many times, it's just so satisfying when he's fleeing like a dog with its tail between it's legs, and then BOOM the hammer hits him and he's dead). I love it. The computer is my bitch, now.

So how is the bnet playablity?

 

The lag is more or less the same as b.net on starcraft, but there's an extremely useful matching service that can hook you up to a game generally under thirty seconds. You just choose the type of game you want and you're off!

About an hour ago I just played a sweet game online, a 3v3 that I was single handedly holding together. One of my allies was killed, the other was under constant attack, leaving me to produce six or seven knights and get the Viking-ish hero up to a level SEVEN (very good). The stun attack (which slows the attacks and movements of enemy units around the hero, as well as causing severe damage) helped me completely wipe out several attack forces. I had to leave, though, so now I am at my mom's office, killing time

I need to get a new computer before I can get it. My hard drive is cluttered and almost full, it keeps glitching, the CD ROM died so I have to use the CD-RW, and my video card doesn't have enough VRAM. *sigh* At least I'll be getting one soon. You can get kick-ass computers right now for about $500.

Nice, but it's rather expensive compared to systems that match my needs exactly. I just want something powerful enough to War3 with extra wiggle room that I can upgrade later.

No man, best hero ability = Death Knights Animate Dead (so fun and so helpful in a melee.)
