Good luck LeeDa. Soon you'll be inundated with phone spam, similar to what you get when you post your email address online.

Want to post that, too, while you're at it?

Why in the world would you want to post your number on here for others to text you?

No offence to others here, but I would not want anyone from here to know how to contact me. Hell, I wouldn't even want them to know my full name or what suburb I lived in. Not that I don't trust everyone.. actually.. no I don't trust anyone from here.

At best you'll get some of the more normal members texting you. At worst you'll get the many weirdos who frequent these boards as well as strangers who are not members but often browse these forums through search engines or spider bots contacting you.

leeda. its not 4mb and its not unlimited. it is unrestricted adsl 1.1 which means you can get 7mb/2mb if your house is connected by a 10m fiberoptic cable to the exchange. the fastest speed ive seen anyone get on that plan is about 1.5mb down, and that was almost in the city.

also, if you read the fien print you will know that if you use more than 700mb between 4pm and midnight they will put you into the low priority bracket and you will be permanently slowed down. you will also notice that if you use "excessive"(pretty vague there) amounts of bandwidth they can put you onto a "better suited"(hugely more expensive) plan for your needs which you wont find out about until you get a $200 bill in the mail.

LLU = local loop ubundling, basically the goverment is buying back the phone lines and getting rid of telecoms monopoly on line rental. which hopefully means other ISPs will upgrade the rural phone exchanges and ollow us to get broadband out here(my nearest town has a population of about 1200 and it has no adsl)

Your supposed to let me lie to look cool. Alas what Vslayer says is true. I have 16 hours of flatrate a day and it will stay that way as long as i'm not excessive.

I did get a $130 dollar refund from telecom because the plan they advertised was different from what you actually got. I used it to buy a 320GB Harddrive.

My computer is almost exactly 2 years old. Started with an 80Gb hdd which cost $140, then almost exactly a year later brought a 160gb hdd which cost $140 then almost exactly a year later again brought a 320gb hdd for $140. So possibly in another year i'll be able to buy a 740gb hdd for $140. All NZ dollars incl GST.
