Recently, David Blunkett (our Home Secretary) god bless him, reduced Cannabis from a Class B drug to Class C.
Possession is no longer an arrestable offence.

I've been watching the wires, from NORML, on this. I'm hoping the USA will one day follow. I know it's a pipe dream, but I can still dream. You guys are so lucky.

I'm happy for you, to hear you can finally "walk the streets" safe, without being arrested for possession of Cannabis. Congratulations to the UK government for finally seeing the light.

How do you mean? It is not arrestable anymore but you do have to buy it illegal, still?

Ooooh, well, that makes a lot of sense. Jees!

How's it in Scotland? Same rules and everything?

I really think it's about time you can just buy it legal, in Coffee-Shops. Then it is cheaper and you have better quality.

    Fight for legalisation! C'mon...

i have no idea what the laws are here, [Scotland]
it'll be slightly different from England, usually the Scottish 'parlament' will copy whatever England is doing. As far as i'm aware, you only got a caution for possession unless it looked like you were intending on dealing.

Great job UK, hopefully the USA as a whole follows. However, many states have de-criminalized MJ possession, and many more are trying to, too! Nevada is the next to decriminalize up to 3 ounces for personal use, and around 11 other states have done the same in the past.

My thoughts? LEGALIZE, LEGALIZE, LEGALIZE. It will be legal, federally, in the USA as a whole, in less than 10 years i say. And to all those who told me "Well uh, i'm stupid, and i say marijuana is bad for you because my government says so, and i think tobacco and alcohol isnt bad because it's illegal" can now shut up, because haha! MJ would be legal and they couldn't say SHIT, according to their thinking on MJ vs. alcohol!

    AHAHAHA!

The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the Prohibition law, for nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced.
