I've always liked Victor for a boy, and it fits in well with your idea of wanting a strong, descriptive word as a name.

Rainbow is a very popular name in California and among liberal Democrats.

Who on earth would be mad enough to name their child rainbow? There's something so cheesy about it. It makes you sound like a hippie. Can you imagine going for a job interview. 'Hello, my name is Rainbow'. I mean, people would laugh. Some parents are just cruel.
