History will be the true judge of President Bush, one of the Greatest President in our History, President Abraham Lincoln was absolute hated and reviled in the Washington Political circles, and the News of the day, and yet how does history judge him? The Great Emancipator, The Savior of the Nation, and one of the Greatest Presidents in our history, we are to close to the events today to see the whole picture, and this move towards impeachment of the President is just the Demorats trying to get even, for the fact that Clinton was Impeached, and no Clinton wasn't impeached for a blow job, it was for perjury, and obstruction of justice, no were was the blow job mentioned in the bill of impeachment.

Except Bush has never done anything great.

I guess he gets around the perjury thing by never swearing to tell the truth.

So? That's the NSA's job. Since you cannot be prosecuted off of any NSA information, don't worry about it. They aren't listening to you have phone sex, and if they are, they really don't care. Personally, I'm thrilled about the NSA program.

It's outrageous that we shouldn't fight terrorism through electronic surveillance. When I hear of American citizens being herded into prisons because of NSA wiretaps, then I'll get gun (but, guess what, it hasn't happened yet, and it isn't likely to happen soon).

To quote my favorite author: "Even watchdogs can bark too much."

Congress did that. Congress has done that several times before.

I'm sorry, what impact has this had on you, other than knowing that a Republican did something you don't like? Who has this hurt? Muslim terrorist. Yawn. Same old bitch. I'm sure you're feeling the squeeze right now in your daily rights.

The fact that so many left wing nuts get diaper rashes over everything he does. I detest left wing extreemists more than I do the right wing ones. Watching them become afflicted with a palsy over conservatives is better than Must See Thursdays.

You know that for a fact? What if the NSA guy just out of boyscoutness calls his body at the FBI and they arrest you for doing something illegal, what the NSA wasn't interested in? You will never figure out it was the NSA and not the FBI who caught you first....

It's possible. I don't doubt that, but since it is you, my friend, who's speculating, then you bear the burden of proof.

The NSA has zero prosecutorial powers. There is ZERO evidence to show that any person has ever been prosecuted because of NSA evidence. And the people the NSA is after aren't you and me and our unpaid parking tickets. Could it have happend? Sure. Anything's possible-- lets do like the Europeans and try really-really-super-duper hard and have a law to cover every imaginable situation. That is sure to help!

I'm not one of those people who believe that a person's rights should be fixed in stone. I know I'm crazy-- but the people that the NSA are after (narco terrorists, cartells, foreign powers, muslim terrorists) are more likely to wake up with a Polonium enema than to an American warrant for their arrest. Thankfully.

I also do not have a problem with using surveillance - but I want it to go via a court as it always has.

    LOL

Seriously, what are 5 policies Bush has implemented in the last 6 years that have turned out to be really good for America and not turned out as complete disasters?

Perhaps I simply don't trust our government as much. And I have never, outside of one tequila incident, been overnight in jail!

As they say, give and inch...

Unlike Clinton, who lied to a Grand Jury -- all by himself.

How come every time I ask:

Seriously, what are 5 policies Bush has implemented in the last 6 years that have turned out to be really good for America and not turned out as complete disasters?

Someone says something about Clinton. Have we've stumbled over some seriously powerful defense mechanism? OK, assuming GW never went down on Clinton's cock and therefor it is not relevant here

this is because there is no argument that can be made against what you are stating:
bush has done NOTHING positive for the united states of america while in federal office.

Ever since the fall of Richard Nixon, presidents have been exceedingly careful not to leave evidence of their High Crimes and Misdemeanors lying around. You can't impeach Bush for losing wars, for incomptence, or for subverting the Constitution with legal maneouvers. There are, no doubt, instances of impeachable offenses available; but without evidence Congress will take no action.

The most recent noise involving the Attorney General may provide a pretext - Congress is demanding the sworn, transcribed testimony of Rove and Miers, and may issue subpoenae to force them to appear. If they cite executive privilege to refuse the demand, Congress could then charge them with contempt of Congress and the president with obstruction of justice.

My point is that without ironclad evidence (like Nixon discussing his coverup on tape) the showdown between the legislative and executive branches will be unresolvable - a constitutional crisis that would probably end in a stalemate.

Indeed. For all American conservatives, all roads somehow lead back to Clinton. It's almost as tiresome as the fact that for all American liberals [he he he], all roads lead back to Clinton!
