Could those with the pen use their talents without the protection of the sword? I don't think so ...or at least it's not been the case in past history. And, yes, there have been many who have been killed by the sword for what they've written. But isn't the rights of freedom of expression guarded and protected by the threat of the "sword"? Baron Max

Sword. You can dip it in ink then write on the bodies of those you kill defending your honor Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Wouldn't it be just surreal if all the US soldiers in Iraq wrote letters of hope and love and passed them out to the Iraqis?
If I have to pick one, I'd take the sword. The pen is great, but takes quite a lot of skill to be used correctly, and/or in every situation.
Actually, the recent increase in suicede bombers indicates that the pen is stronger, because with a good/effective ideology people will sacrifice themselves WILLINGLY and HAPPILY. Try that with the sword...
But fortunately, not very many of them. Perhaps the threat of the sword is what's makin' some of those guys into suicide bombers, huh? How would we know? Baron Max
