India: 160 million eligible for military service. Pakistan: 25 million eligible for military service. China: 250 million eligible for military service. India and Pakistan have been threatening to nuke each other for ages. That's bad for everyone. The most effective way to end that conflict would be to remove the weaker half, Pakistan. Could China do this with conventional warfare? What would China, the USA, India, UN, and the world gain or lose from this?
Remove, as in wipe Pakistan off the map, it becomes part of China, giving China a swifter route to the Suez Canal.
well that would put some strain on India since China and India really don't like each other all that much and I doubt if it would happen because China has traditionally been an ally of Pakistan

China would have people to lose, usa would probally find a way on how to make money out of it or back pakistan to try to defeat the communists, india would gain - losing arch enemy, UN would'nt care but they would probaly try to introduce peace talks to make it look like they are doing something.
Pakistan did not do this. It was done by the League Of Nations/UN, and Pakistan was the result. Pakistan, Israel, East Timor, and other such nations are direct evidence to support the idea that powerful nations create and destroy small nations now and then. Now, since we have proof that this occurs, why should it not occur in this case? Why is the question stupid, since we know it has happened before?

And to correct you, the league of nations was not the same as the UN. america has no excuse to invade it like they did vietnam - no communists to be seen. Pakistan is nuclear, this creates too much of a threat to medle with their buisness. it is stupid because china or any other nation apart from india will not invade pakistan, it simply aint gonna happen. they have no reason to, if there is a war it aint gonna effect their interests.

yeh, china will gain another coast line but just think what they would have to lose, men, materials maybe even territory if they get pushed back into their own territory. like i said before - it wont happen.
I can't imagine China wanting to disrupt any internal stability by attacking Pakistan. The men it would cost as well as the amount of resistance the Pakistanis would put up would not be worth it
China helped Pakistan,get the nukes it has,so I would say they are more likely to nuke India if it came to it!
Big nations don't like to stay next to each other. That's why Pakistan and other small nations exist. They created buffer zones between big countries. China would only remove Pakistan if India was gone.
