You did not disappoint me, I like them too.

The quote was a random cool lyric. It was not meant as an insult.

I think we need some extreem views to keep the debate alive. I don't think we should blindly follow them. Neither do you. You don't think communism is THE way ahead, you are just "waking them up" (find the hidden songtitle

i was joking....is it The Ghost Of Tom Joad? just a guess. havent listened to them for a while. aye, the debate is getting to the stage now that people are argueing about how badly someone put his points across. Need some extreme views in there to 're-light the fire' so to speak. i'll leave that to you because they hate me as it is . lol.

    WAAAAAAAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rage is actually one of my favourite bands ever. Damn interesting politics and awsome rock style guitar. The intro to Sleep Now is one of the best things I've ever heard.

Tell the bandmembers how you don't feel pitty for the bum sitting at your school.

I have great respect for Rage's political views. They are well educated and well thought out. They just have a different set of values than I do. They think the best thing would be if everyone lived happily no matter what kind of life they wanted to choose. I think the best thing is that we have the oppurtunity to fuck up and people who do fuck up suffer the consequences.

at the moment (in no particular order)-
    Tool
    Korn
    A Perfect Circle
    In Flames

I went and saw Tool live in Melbourne a few months ago and i must say it was the most amazing live band experience i have ever seen.

has anyone else here seen them live?

ahh, it seems as if our generation has taken over this thread.

    top five bands:

    1) nine inch nails: i will shoot you if you say they suck. not only are they so musically talented (i heard reznor creates music off of pythagorean structures) but they are so profound.

all that nietzsche/foucault/existentialist philosophy you like?
reznor puts all that to music, baby.

    2) alice in chains: drugs, drugs, drugs. RIP Layne Staley.

    3) portishead: depressive trip-hop. makes you think. stuff for a rainy sunday. female reznor that beth is.

    4) tool: you think society fucks with your mind? look at tool. its all about opening up to the truth. "third eye."

very philosophical too, from what i hear. maynards a big jung fan.

    5) ratm anger is a gift. best of political science/social theory/philosophy all in one really pissed off, harder than hell rap metal band. what more could you ask for? anyone heard that stuff they did with christ cornell btw?

there is already a thread on this. Communism...the way ahead? If communism could be implemented correctly i do believe it would be for the benefit of man-kind.
