It's strange how you can remember how many drinks you had but not the rest of the story. Maybe smashing the windscreen with your head has caused a short term memory loss. Have you been to hospital? Concussion can lead to internal bleeding and death so you should go check yourself out. 4 beers and a glass of wine is enough to get most people at least slightly drunk.
Subconscious is the thoughts we think which we don't think about. Automatic processes... automatic instructions... If we think about something long enough, we don't have to think about it anymore. Observations and experiences create thoughts, but sometimes we don't think about what we think about, so the thoughts are automatic... subconscious...
Subconscious or unconscious just refers to the thoughts and processes going on in your brain that you're unaware of (or not conscious of)
My hypothesis/theory: The subconsious mind is a computer of sorts that takes experiences as input and returns emotions as output. The only type of processing it does is inductive reasoning. For exmaple, a calculation it might make might be: What I am percieving has been shown to result in X 95% of the time in my past experience. X has been attributed the favorable emotion, or the unfavorable emotion so that emotion is administered to indicate the current perceptions likelihood to result in X. Certain things are attributed emotions depending on what they are most likely to result in or be related to themselves based on past experiences. Thus forms a chain, or web rather, of things which are attributed to a certain emotion where a new link is added everytime a new experience is shown to result in the rest of the chain. The initial links in the chain perhaps are arbitrary or passed on genetically but common ones seem to include warmth, the sound of a beat, the general form of someone smiling at you etc for favorable emotion. For unfavorable emotion, the first links in the chain seem to be defined as occurences which prevent experience of the links in the favorable emotion chain. The intensity of emotion experienced seems to be related to how strong of a new connection is made between a currently perceived event and other things which are likely to result in the initial links in the chain which were attributed a given emotion.
