Austrian former kidnap victim Natascha Kampusch has said she is finding it hard to adjust to her new life.

In an interview with Austrian television, she said she could not yet face going out alone four months after escaping from her captor.

She also said she found being in large groups of people overwhelming.

She was forced to live in a cell beneath a house garage from 1998 until she escaped in August. Her captor killed himself hours after her escape.

"I can't go out in public alone. That would be too risky," she said.

She said she found situations involving large numbers of people difficult.

"Sometimes it is really obtrusive for me. I don't like loud voices," she said.

"People have different body odours, they smoke, they wear perfume, they wear flashy, disturbing clothes, they have unpleasant eating habits, they are rude, unfriendly, undisciplined and so on, but that doesn't matter at all.

"I was always a social person and from the outset [of life] had no problems with social contact," she added.

She also said she suffered from claustrophobia.

"The first weeks in this prison were incredibly hard, because I freaked out in this little chamber. It was terrible. But with time, I got used to it by imagining something wide and open.

Of Wolfgang Priklopil, her abductor, she said he had no "empathy" for her: "I always told him he was incredibly ignorant because he ignored me."

If she's havin' such a hard time being free, why don't she ask some willing, happy child molestor to take her into his home? Then they could both be happy as pigs in shit, huh?

    Me too.

So why was she held as prisoner? I haven't read anything about abuse.

Sometimes I don't know whether you come out with crap like this to shock and draw attention to yourself, or if you actually do think that way. Either way, it makes you a sad little man.

She was very young and was held for eight years

Well, geez, if she's havin' such difficult time adjusting to her new life, why not go back to the old life? Seems pretty damned reasonable to me!

That wasn't a very nice thing to say, Bells.

You do realise that this girl was kidnapped, locked away in a basement and basically terrorised for 8 years by her abductor. One cannot be surprised that she is having a difficult time re-adjusting to life after such an ordeal. For 8 years, this child knew nothing but that basement and the terror she was put through. And you think that if she's having such a hard time re-adjusting to what can be considered a normal life, with family she has not had any contact with for 8 years, after all that terror, she should just go back to being terrorised and locked away in a paedophile's basement?

What is wrong with you? Seriously. Do you think before you type? Do you say stupid things as a means to get attention? Do you like trying to be some form of 'shock jock'?

Believe me Baron, when I referred to you as a sad little man, I was actually being polite.

Isn't it interesting? You claim to have great sympathy and empathy for the plight of that young girl who you don't even know, yet you have no sympathy or empathy for me, who you've already admitted that you think I have pathological problems. Interesting, don't you think, how you can be so selective with your blind empathy?

PS - I'm also curious, very curious, how you can continue the name-calling while still being a forum moderator? How can you get away with that, yet others can't? Or is it now permitted for us to start calling other members names?

Oh believe me, I pity you. I really do.

I called you names? Hmm all I see is how I see you in this world as per your self portrayal through your words. You'd rather I lie and tell you you're a sweet , caring and sharing old man?

Can we all use that same excuse or is that reserved for only moderators?
