Russia has always been like this. Why is it our concern?

I suppose it's the concern of the US government. This seems like typical geopolitics to me, when there is a lot of money and power at stake, lives are lost.

 

That is completely backwards. The birthrates would RAISE if Russians actually took advantage of the "too many illegal immigrants" and married some of them.

The USA has always had a lot of immigrants, it's the one way we have kept our birthrate up. If Russia is a body, it needs new blood. I think however that the Russian culture is very instinctually nationalist, and this element of Russian culture is why there are problems with immigrants.

My opinion, if what you say is true, and Russia really is doing well except for immigration and low birth rates, the quick solution is to make the new immigrants Russian. More immigrants means higher birth rates, and it means more options for wives if you are a Russian male, and more options for husbands if you are a Russian female.

Of course, Europe is having this problem all over. I don't think the problem is that there are too many immigrants, I think the problem is the terrible job of intergration that is being done. Immigrants can be good or bad depending on how well you intergrate them into society. Immigrants can raise birth rates, or not, depending on what we'd call natural selection. If natural selection is rational, the result is that more immigrants equals higher birth rates for a country. These immigrants, they have to marry right?

Now, I've heard all sorts of stories about Russia, I've heard that Russia is extremely nationalist, to the point of being xenophobic. I've read that hooligans literally are beating up on immigrants for no reason. I've even read that Nazism somehow is in Russia. All of this may be true or false, as I've never been to Russia to know, but if you are from Russia, you can confirm or deny these things.

Finally, from what I know about Russia based on my own logical observations, Russia is actually brilliant strategically. They know exactly what resources to go after on the geopolitical stage, and they seem to strategically be ahead of the USA, and the main reason they are ahead is because the USA is busy fighting wars, this actually gives Russia the chance to do a lot.

Example, Russia is now an energy super power, this means Russia will be entering into the WTO, and you know once this happens, Russia will gain massive economic influence. Russia is also right next to China, this partnership is brilliant as well for a lot of reasons, because China can get it's military technology directly from Russia, while Americans buy products from Walmart to pay for it. It's almost ridiculous but thats the situation.

So Russia is perfectly positioned to become the global super power as China's economy grows into super power status, Russia will be developing the space and weapons technology. So far Russia has not made a single strategic mistake, only tactical errors.

The Soviet Union collapsed because when it comes to tactics, Capitalism won, it was more flexible than Communism, and the USA basically won the long cold war. The strategy however, the long term outlook for Capitalism is somewhat unstable, and while the USA is at war all over the place, the USA is also spending unlimited amounts of money all over the place, going into debt. We can only hope that US economy does not ever collapse or slow down into a depression because if it does, Russia and China will be in an even better position than they are in now, from their perspective.
