    leopold99:

Suppose life on Earth was brought to Earth by a meteorite. Then, how do you think the life that was on the meteorite started?

You're just pushing the issue back one step, not solving anything.

    Demonstrated how?

Did ALL life started from the same organic origins, and billions of years later...presto a living planet.

I suppose not even one organism could have been purposely created to be unique, so when you get right down to it lokks like everything started with dirt, rather salt water and complex dirt.

i think the reasoning is that if life could not start here then it must have started somewhere else and was brought here by a meteorite.

An infertile place isn't likely to also be a fertile place.

But a fertile place can be the confluence of more than one fertile place.

Immune systems, smaller appendixes, dogs...I'm a little tired right now, but just google it my dude, there's so much stuff.
Presto...over billions of years kind of loses it's meaning. But, that's pretty much how it was.

Religion needs to master science and death, not protest them. Otherwise, it would be scientific to exterminate the religious!

Religion rarely stops people from enjoying themselves. It just makes them feel guilty, which adds a certain spice.

    gentlemen, and ladies....

i say to you all, that both, evolution and creation are true.

we evolved... generally... in our line to the maximum unwound potential of our genome....

just as elephants... birds... aligators... and perhaps gorillas etc..

we all evolved from fish.. which come onto land.. they did in the beginning... they did all threwout history... and they are trying to do it today.

we are the product of fish that came ashore about the same time as the other apes... and share a common general background, with only sutle differences... in fish... coming on land.

these rises.. taking place after each mass extinction... new species.. were ever rising into existance..
    first the bugs..
    then the dinosaurs...
    then the mammels.. beasts....

man came along too... man was alittle different. a new kind of fish.

being literally the end product of a natural progression in genetic qualities of progressive generations of developig fish stocks over millions of years.

we did evolve... natural due to our enviorment with a basic slate of nature based on the fish which gave rise to the rodents that became the monkeys that became the man thing....

but all of it... was also, predestined.. by our planet, its qualities, and the sun, its potential.. its color.. its distance... the spin of the earth... and the water... on so much water... we got lucky.

as i see it... based on my unifying field theory.... Moses got it right... as far a chapter one genesis is concerned...

Okay, thanks! I'll beginning believing it all immediately ....and shooting anyone who doesn't believe it.

The world needs great leaders like you ...ones who can stand up and tell the rest of the people what to do and how to think. Thank you, Mosheh.

Evolution still can't explain the origin of matter, Lack of evidence of past life on Mars, and organization from chaos.

You were the one who stated the obvious.

Now you put words in my mouth. Competing for Baron's job?

You've got it all wrong. See, you assumed that everyone else didn't understand this when in fact they already did. I was simply using sarcasm to show you that you were acting "lower-50-percentilist" in assuming that the upper 50-percentile wasn't much represented here.

    Pretty much.

Uh, that dirt thing... not quite.

Evolution is the shifting frequencies of alleles in a genetic population from generation to generation. Please tell me how this relates to the origin of matter.

Firstly, I was under the impression there was. Secondly, how is that relevant to evolution?

Evolution doesn't focus on that. :bugeye:

Does it claim to do that?

There, you've done it again: Attempting to make the obvious plainly obvious.

One might conclude that you're obsessed with insuring that the obvious escapes no one.

    You da' man!

The upper 50-percentile, in such a sitution, would have used sarcasm parsimoniously, and with precision.

    Thanks, anyway, for the lesson.

Complex live organisms cannot rearrange themselves into an organism of a higher form as claimed by evolutionists. This is scientifically backwards according to the second law of thermodynamics that has never been proven wrong. Scientists cannot have it both ways.

there has never been any actual proof of current or past life. Rovers have sent back topography showing evidence of streams and rivers. Yet no signs of vegetation or trees. No signs of fossils and organisms. The conditions were ideal for the "spark of Life." Yet the planet is sterile.

Evolutionists say that the universe was started by the big bang. Yet they can't explain where the matter and energy came from.

Complex organisms can, over time, become more complex. The second law of thermodynamics does not disprove this. If NOTHING could become more ordered, then ice would not be able to be form, for example.

As for the origin of life, you can push it back down to the origin of matter itself. After all, "life" itself is a man made concept. All life is is an emergent property stemming from the behavior of cells. Cells are composed of non-living complex molecules, and function based on random diffusion. The molecules are composed of nonliving atoms. Atoms are composed of sub-atomic particals -- etc etc.

You're flailing around like a fish out of water. You're trying so desperately to pin me, and it's not working. One could perhaps say that it's an obsession.

Oops. Sorry. There I went pointing out the obvious again, right?

    Flailing.

Just give up and find your way back into your pond.

    What is an evolutionist?

I see a handful of problems with this. Where oh where do I start?

One thing is that you work on the assumption that evolution necessarily makes life more complex. Indeed it does that, but it can also make life simpler and more specialized.

Another thing is that you don't fully understand the second law of thermodynamics and how it relates to evolution.

    Wikipedia on evolution and entropy.

The second law of thermodynamics posits that in an idealized, isolated system, entropy tends to increase or stay the same.

The problem with stating that evolution violates this law is that Earth's biological system is not an isolated system. Another problem is the dismissal of the pesky word "tends", which means that overall, entropy increases or stays the same, but "islands" where entropy decreases can and do come up. Ice is an example.

I'm leaving this alone for now, but something about what you say is fishy.

    What?

    Um, no.

Confusing evolution with the Big Bang shows you truly do not understand either fields of science. Please read up on both evolution and the Big Bang, and then come back to me.

Though I'm fairly certain that you didn't intend it to be so, you do realize that true realization of this sentiment would put Atheism on much better standing in America than it is today?

What have you got to lose? An entire lifetime of freedom from irrational superstition and fear of a vengeful all-watching eye in heaven.

Let me take your same line of reasoning and ask you what happens if you devote your whole life to agreeing that god may exist because you're too afraid of what might happen if you didn't believe and were wrong - well what happens if you die and you find yourself being judged by Zeus instead? What if you're wrong and you're reincarnated? What if you're wrong and Osirus smacks you upside the head and gives you a good chewing out?

Each possibility is just as likely as the other, each a small act of atheism in denying the idea of any possible other God, why not carry it one step further and live this life, the only one we can be sure of, to the fullest instead of worrying about what happens to you (and everyone else) once it ends. Any claim you can make about any supernatural God is just as arbitrary as a claim made about any other, so why pay any mind to it at all, just focus on what we can know here and now on earth, and worry about everything else if and when we're finally confronted with it.
