Technically, yes. Lower case yes. A woman by the name of Henrietta Lax...Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
So, what's that have to do with anything? Do you really expect anyone to pull a yes out of their ass? Not me.
If one wants to really talk about immortality one has to properly define it. In what repsect are you referring to immortality? In respect to no natural pre-genetically disposed death? Or are you referring to someone who is actually incapable of dieing? If it is the former, then I believe there is no reason anyone could ever argue that it should be impossible. If it is the latter, then no, you cannot ever become INCAPABLE of dieing, as the laws of physics will still apply, and the complete dissassociation of your atoms will still result in what I believe everyone would agree is death. -AntonK
There aren't 2 Yes's, there's Yes, No, and YES. As to whether they mean the same thing or not, what do you think?
Well, yes, I'd say that Yes means the same as YES. So would dictionary.com. Here, look for yourself: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Yes http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=YES But if they means something different to you... please explain what.
to clear it up a little bit Yes would be what a optimistic person would likely vote for YES would be the guy who has his own theory (big letters, big confidence, almost happeh like) No would be the guy who argues with YES
Do a simple google search with "immortality +Yes" then "immortality + YES" You get different results, no? So tell me what the difference is?
I think a simple Yes Hi every body: I think that genetically is posible stop the olding proccess and mantain us healthy and young, in that sense i thinK that´s possible, but for example if a piano drop over your head, no matter if you are a normal one or a genetically manipulated human being, YOU´LL DIE SMASHED JE,JE,JE,JE. Threre´s also legends that speak about mistics that through meditation and special practices could achieve inmortaility in genetically sense (i think). Recently i found some articles that make me think that´s posible, russian scientist that don´t believe that our genome is 90% full of garbage, studying that 'junk', found that this 'junk' is a fractal antenae that scans sorrounds and integrate information in form of laser radiation inside chromosomes, interesting thing is that that antenae also caugth information trasmited like sound and structure in information inside that dna 'junk' is misteriously similar to human languages. Well may be that unknown mystics from legends found one way to 'speak' directly to dna to manipulate them selves genetically. If anybody is interested you could find some references in RAS (Russian academy of science)if you search for Gariaev in google or into RAS(if you know russianPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! ), you can se also an interesting article about that here http://www.emergentmind.org/gariaevI3.htm. (this is very technical, interesting is discution at the end), and you can se also search for wave genetics in google. Be carefull there´s also a lot of new age crap speaking about that works (´cause there´s people claimming that dna laser radiation is a explanation for auras), i think in this point barriers between science and mysticism begin to be fuzzy. Tell me what do you think about my hypotesis? Be happyPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! See yaa

Everyone has a chance of immortality, why do you think graves are marked with etched stone tablets? Macabre you might suggest however it is the case, The dead from wars are marked with monuments, so are those from horrific disasters, on top of that there is those stones laid during a buildings construction by Mayors or other notibly classed peers. If of course you are suggesting living for ever... not genetically possible and only currently "Theoretically" possible through machines.
