The worlds longest human chain(people held each others hands and so a chain was formed) was about 600 km long...It started from the capital of Estonia-Tallinn,went through Latvia and ended in the capital of Lithuania-Vilnius. The date was 23th August 1989 and it was a demonstration to show the world that we want to be free from that awful aggressor Russia. The Baltic countries Estonia,Latvia and Lithuania united their forces and arranged this massive demonstration. About 2 million people took part in this action. I'd like to point out that there are about 1.4 million estonians(and only 60 precent of them are really native estonians..thanks to the russians

FACT: Prince Charles and Prince William are not allowed to fly on the same plane together.
    Why?
Answer: Just in case the plane should crash then both lives will not be lost.

FACT: Donkeys kill more people each year than plane crashes do.

Question: Does this mean that Prince Charles and Prince William should never go mule riding together? :bugeye:

    Genji:

Crumple rhymes with purple, but not phonetically.

    Losange for orange...

Thoth (proper noun) and many words ending with "ff" for phonetic rhymes.

The goldfish one was recently shown to be wrong.

What about llamas, emus, and ostriches?

Crumple (krumpel) doesn't rhyme with Purple (perpel)

Losange? Never heard of it but it doesn't appear to rhyme with orange.

Interesting about the goldfish. I didn't know that.

What about llamas, emus and ostriches?

    Genji:

On paper it does: CrumPLE purPLE. Moreover, phonetically it does if given the right accent.

lozenge (spelled it wrong before) = A hard-candy like medicinal droplet for sore throats and other mouth and throat ailments. Basically, a cough drop.

Llamas, emus, and ostriches have been domesticated earlier than 4,000 years ago.

Also, did you know that Churchill's mother was born in Brooklyn, New York? And then lived for a time in Kinderhook, New York?

I think it depends on how you sound out the syllables. I can see both sides... "kill-er" rhymes with "silv-er"

However, "kill-er" does not rhyme with "sil-ver."

I think that is how it works...
