Racism is one of those things, like propoganda, conveniently 'pushed under the rug' in western society. We act as though it doesn't exist, but there it is! I do hope this show goes on, only for the shit it will stir up..
Not sure. Australia often gets it up to a week late, apart from the final couple of shows. But it depends what other programming Australia TV has lined up, and whether they want to buy it in the first place. On the other hand, Survivor is mostly made by Australians anyway. Most of the crew for it (cameramen, paramedics, other support staff, builders etc.) are Australian.
Here's the way it will go: The blacks are going to refuse to do anything. Any failures they have will be blamed on the "system" which has been set up by "the man" who is keeping them "down". When the first storm floods the camp that the producers of the show chose for them, it will appear that they actually have a point. The Asians will start building their camp on the first day and not stop until they have developed half of the island with neon-slathered storefronts, rows and rows of electronics stores, and a few shoe factories where they will put the indigenous youth to work for a pittance. They will forget that they are on a show, but every one of them will make millions and send their kids to MIT. The Whites will start off very isolationist, fearing everyone different from themselves. They will start building fortifications to keep the other tribes out. This will increase their paranoia to insane levels. At some point, they will decide that the only way to keep everyone away from themselves is to go out and kill everyone else. So they will start with sticks and stones, and keep improving their arsenal until they have small nukes. The Hispanics will laugh at the "fortifications" that the Whites have made, and move in with them. It will take some time for the Whites to even notice.
You guys are clueless, most of you. People like to live with their own kind, the only times blacks move near whitey is to send their kids to a school where they wont join a gang or get attacked.
John, you are narrow minded if you think there are different kinds of human based on how they look. There are different kinds of energy, and most people want to live in a positive high energy environment. Most people don't want to live in a ghetto, and it does not matter who they are. The only people who want to live in a ghetto are people who thrive in a ghetto, and these people usually end up in jail or dead.

You are more narrow minded if you think there are NOT different kinds of human based on how they look. Most do maybe, but not ALL. And most of those people you speak of are black.
Of course, all of us would like to think that we're all humans and thats all that matters. ...screw that. From the start, maybe we’re all similar, but the culture and family around us is obviously going to affect us. Thus it's not the features or skin color itself that makes that impression, but the way they themselves act. And while everyone calls out stereotypes, the fact is though they have been blown out of proportion, they are based on truth. Yes, not all black people live in ghettos, but most every ghetto has a majority of blacks. Also, most every trailer park has a majority of whites, and whites get their share of comments about it too. More significantly, they are all labeled racists when done anything even remotely politically incorrect, though I suppose it’s also commonly not that far from he truth. ...And most every home depot has its share of Hispanics. Anyway, I hate that in America racism is such an avoided topic, and that only minority comedians have rights to say anything about it. Why can't white people say anything about other races? Personally i do it all the time, I am white, and I'm not serious when I do it, and though some people throw a bitch fit, most laugh or dont really care, and I don’t give a shit. I’m glad CBS or whoever took the risk, and though it’ll probably be all edited to satisfy the demonstration of these stereotypes, it’ll at least get people talking about racism. Thus, this thread.

I wondered about that. When medics are called they always have the Australian accent. I bet the show is pre-viewed to a select group of minority leaders and then edited like crazy.
Most likely during the length of the show one of the tribes are probably racially bad mouth the other and heapa trouble will start.
