Every one's going to die; Padmay will die, Anikin will die, Windu will die, even the cute little kids Yoda was teaching are going to die. 3P0 and R2 will get sold to Wedge Antillies who will get fed up with 3P0's dumb jokes and wipe his brain. Naboo will change it's name to Alderan. And the biggest plot twist of all will happen when the Sith lord is revealed to be non-other than Jar-Jar Binks.

Enraged by his mothers death, Aniken will develop a Jedi technique which uses the Force to sustain life. The Emporor will kill the last of the Jedi. However Yoda, Windu and Obe-Wan will resurrect themselves using Aniken's technique. Aniken's fear will prevent him from using his own skill and instead he will become Darth-Vador. Later, Padmay will give birth to 2 children. The resurrected Jedi will vow to protect the twins, using there powers to hide them from the Emporor and Vador. Windu will watch over the more powerful baby Lea. Obe-wan will watch over the weaker Luke. Yoda will focus on Vador himself. Then Vador will be given his dark Jedi test to kill Padimay. Windu will come to Padimay's ade, but he will be destroyed by Vador. Windu will be the first to discover that even while using the technique enough damage will cause his physical body vaporizes and leave him with a glowing blue form that only powerful Jedi can see or hear.

Chancelor Palpatine is a clone of Darth Sidious with no dark force influence (to explain why the Jedi never sense what the audience knows): Naboo is destroyed by orbital bombardment by the Trade Federation, Padme is finally killed by the Viceroy; which sends Anakin over the top and deep into the dark side (I would guess Darth Sidious would spin her death as being the Jedi's fault).

    Welcome to sciforums, moonfish.

    My prediction:

    • Padme will become pregnant when the film opens and she will have luke and leia
    • Padme will die for some reason involving Obi Wan
    • This will enrage Anakin, and he will attempt to kill Obi Wan
    • Obi Wan will kick Anakin's ass and he will fall into a pit of lava
    • Anakin will emerge even more enraged, and Palpatine will help him.
    • Windu and Tyrannus (Dooku) will battle, Tyrannus will die.
    • Windu and Obi Wan will take on Anakin, only Obi Wan will survive
    • Bail Organa will realize how the Republic is turning into an empire and will flee with both of Anakin's children, knowing full well that he will kill them if he leaves them behind
    • Either that or Obi Wan will take the children and give Luke to Lars and Leia to Organa

Moonfish your prediction seems so wacky because it revolves around Anakin resurrecting people and really going for his goal. We don't know that this is even possible, or if it isn't. It's just out there

After ep 2 I wouldn't put too much stock in the EU (Extended Universe) books being a template for ep 3.

To those people who say Padme dies, you're simply wrong. It's established in Return of the Jedi that Leia remembers her real mother (Padme), even though she died when Leia was young. That means Padme had to live until Leia was at least 3 or 4, which puts her death well after Episode III.

The Radek D'Vorak -- How can you possibly still think Palpatine isn't Sidious?

Palpatine, the senator, was clearly pure evil in The Phantom Menace with the way he carefully manipulated things to force Valorum out and swing the vote in his own favor, at the expense of the freedom of his own home world.

Don't we already know that Anakin becomes Vader after a final confrontation between he and Obi Wan (after Anakin has already been mostly swayed to the dark side) Obi Wan knocks Anakin into a pit of lava where his body and vocal chords are wrecked?

Oh and Radek......is that name after the hockey player?

And he says he plans to use it to spend his remaining years creating some films he's had in the back of his mind for decades which he says probably aren't commercially viable, but which he'll make now even if he's the only one who wants to watch it. Must be nice to be that rich... I wouldn't mind making a few films for my own viewing.

We know Padme has to die, her death would prove useful to Darth Sidious in converting Anakin to the dark side we don't know when the movie will take place (it may take place after Leia is born [all we know is that Luke and Leia are siblings, Leia may be the older sibling]).
I surmised that Sidious would use a force absent clone to represent him in the Senate and near the Jedi because it would seem odd that such a powerful nexus of the dark side of the force would not set off alarms among the Jedi just by his mere presence. Especially charcters like Yoda or even Anakin should sense something unusual about the chancellor. I would also guess that it would be relatively easy for Sidious to impress upon his clone his will or desires; and such an arrangement gives Sidious freedom of movement and security.

    Tyler: yes.

    resurrection

Episode three will have to explain why Yoda and Obe-wan don't leave bodies when they die. Also, why they came back in glowing blue form. My theory is that they where already dead, some how sustained by the Force. I think that the explanation ties directly to Anikens vow on his mother's grave. I don't know how it all works out, But I suspect it will be a central theme in Episode three.

didjaknow? Palpatine has always been played by the same actor.

    The Phantom Menace (1999)
    Ian McDiarmid .... Senator Palpatine
    Attack of the Clones (2002)
Ian McDiarmid .... Supreme Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious
    Star Wars: Episode III (2005)
    Ian McDiarmid .... Palpatine/Darth Sidious
    Return of the Jedi (1983)
    Ian McDiarmid .... Emperor Palpatine

    glowing blue bodies

Here is an explanation from 19 years ago that my dad told me about:

Any one who dies in front of Luke gets to have a cool glowing ghost body. Obe-wan knew about it so he orchestrated an elaborate scheme to die in front of Luke on the Death star. Then Obe tells his buddy Yoda about it and the two trick Luke into going to Degoba because they know Yoda about to kick the bucket. But just when Yoda is good and ready, farm boy wants to take off for Cloud city. Yoda trys to delay him by making up a story about doom and the dark side. But Luke doesn't buy it and goes anyway. Fortunately, Yoda's able to hold out until Luke gets back and the little green guy gets his cool ghost body.

In Return of the Jedi, the Emperor funds out about the trick, but he is not quite as much a schemer as Obe-wan or Yoda. He just captures Luke and orders the boy to kill him. When Luke won't do it the Emperor stars zappin him, trying to get him to fight. But just then Vador catches on, and not wanting the universe littered with glowing blue dead guys, Vador throws the Emperor off the platform. Where Luke can't see him. Then Vador pretends to be dyeing and he tells Luke to take off the helmet. With the helmet removed he actually dose die, But Luke can see him so Vador gets his cool ghost body. The epic ends with the three specters watching over Luke making sure not too many more people find out about their little secret.

In Return of the Jedi it's clearly established that Luke and Leia are twins, and Leia tells Luke that she remembers her real mother slightly.

And as far as Palpatine not being the force-using Emperor, read http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/palpatine/index.html

I think that the movie will start either with Padme pregnant or after the children are born. Anakin will think they're ugly and ship 'em away where he can't find them, only to realize that he wanted to kill them. Then he'll join Palpatine so he can go find them and kill 'em.

    P.S. Anakin's skills with a lightsabre suck.
