There is another loophole, two similar blurs to the bottom left near the bush. As the bush gives us an approximation of distance, and we can see that the higher blurs are about the same size, I'd guess all items are foreground objects of a similar size to a dragonfly, and not HPR rockets, ....

Im thoroughly convinced that they are insects.Funny though as I have a couple friends that think theyre ghosts or ufo's.I have an open mind about the unknown but these things are obviously just bugs.Even though I have tried to convince them of this they still want to believe they are something unexplainable.Kinda gives you insight into what the average joe sees and wants to believe.I can honestly say that I have seen a ufo many years ago while living in Puerto Rico.I was 11 at the time.My family and another family were at our beach shack enjoying the day when we spotted a shimmering silver metallic looking object not 10 yards off shore. It was maybe 15ft in diameter and the shape of an orb.It moved horizontally along the shore and it's path did not vary whatsoever. You couldn't make out any detail as it seemed to be almost made of a liquid. We followed it for a mile walking behind it.It went over a dune and vanished. This incedent was witnessed by over 15 people. One of them being my father who was a Coast Guard helicopter radioman, and his Commander who was also the commander of BorinquenCoast Guard airstation at the time. They were completely bewildered as to what it could of been and never spoke of it outside our family get togethers.Kinda cool eh?To this day I don't have any idea of what it was that we saw that day.It does however make for interesting conversation at parties.

Maybe, just maybe (as remote as it may be), it's possible some super-advanced aliens from another solar system landed here on earth over 100 million years ago during the age the dinosaurs. Nothing like a friendly T-Rex greeting party to welcome our space visitors from afar. At least they didn't have to worry about a return trip back to their home planet.

And that underlines the danger of hypothesizing with just a subset of the data!

Bugs is a bunk theory, I think more properly is to note the storm like conditions, it's most likely the light of a flash, or simply light reflecting off of rain drops or dew, even mist.

    Was a flash used?

What other light source would cause only four objects to show up? How do you explain the blurring if a flash was used, as generally flash use means a shorter exposure?

Thats the thing. There was no flash used.I still buy the bug theory though.

I could tell from the consistency of the foregrond lighting with the rest of the scene that there was no flash. I wanted to know why joojoo thought one could have been used. ie, what he was seeing that just wasn't there!

Rods have been theorized to be insects, they've yet to be captured. (Last time I checked anyway.) You could stretch it and say they're White Orbs (AKA Will O Wisps, not the marsh gas type fyi, and Jack-My-Lantern), but I agree on dragon flies. You see your picture seems to be taken in summer time and dragon flies mate then. Note the figures are coming at each other or are in the same area.

Ha! I think that image was taken from a documentary thet debunked 'rods' as insects, but here it appears as proof for!

Above the foliage at the bottom, is an object, which appears to be be a guy. In the documentary I saw, these guys were 'base jumping' into a cavern, and there were lots of insects around the mouth. Occasionally, some were in the right place to create a 'rod' effect.

I made a thread about this too.

Cant see how they could be bugs and on a few i see streaks, one is probably a dead pixel. Mine were different still, interesting.

That explanation here would make me think they would appear constantly

ncminus, I think you may find that those marks are not on the negative. It looks like print was damaged.

I've always wondered how those rods showed up. I always just thought they were insects that actually looked like that. The first time I saw them in a video, it was a BASE jumping video from a cave in Mexico. I just thought they had weird insects there. But the frequency of the wingbeats makes sense.

It could be little specks of moisture on the lens. They all travel the same direction. If the flash is above the lens then maybe the specks caught a little light.
