A friend of mine told me about SF in 2003 (maybe 2002). We were both students of AP calc... he was really bad at math but good at biology... so he was in the bio subforum. That's about it. I was trying to look up some obscure information in linguistics. I googled it (I suppose it was Dogpile in those days) and one of the first few hits was a posting on the subject in SciForums. There were a lot of threads on language and linguistics in those days (4-5 years ago) so it looked like a nice website. Unfortunately I'm about the only person here any more with any interest in that topic.
