If I remember rightly there were a few specialized nuclear artillery shells in the military. Not all of the large howitzers were capable of firing them. They were more on the line of neutron atomics. (Not as dirty as a regular nuclear weapon). Would I have went into one that had just been irradated? I think not, knowingly and with choice.
Nuclear weapons will be used in Iraq if they bio, chemical, or nuclear weapons on the US and suceede in killing people. If they drop a WMD SCUD into Israel the Jews will nuke Saddam lickidy-split. Those are the only ways I can see nukes being used in Iraq. Saddam will probably use WMDs against us when we go in. He has nothing to lose when we go to take him out.
i think using nukes is probably a bad idea. the US should just stay out of international affairs altogether, unless it is absolutely necessary. things seem to turn out badly when we try to intervene, so i say let the rest of the world take care of themselves...
