    Thanks, TS.

I was young... nine, maybe? I remember losing my strength and not being able to stay above water. I remember yelling out for help to the people on the shore. I remember seeing that a man spotted me. I remember thinking that he was going to jump in and save me, but he didn't... in a panic, he yelled out to the lifeguard instead. I remember going under for the last time. The next thing I remember was waking up. I remember being scared and running away from the scene. Adults ran after me, caught me and they told me what happened.

This defier happened almost 7 yrs ago on the 16 of August.

After meeting up with a college buddy I was on my way home driving from the TGIF at the mall. I received a phone call from a new friend Paul. I guess i went on my way to his house. When along the way there was a cherokee jeep in front of me driving slow. I sped up to triple digits and tried to pass. He raced me. We came to a fork in the road, I jammed my wheels to the right to get in front of him. In the middle of the fork was a concrete triangular slab separating the roads. I jumped the slab doing a buck! Ended up on the wrong side of the road onto no oncoming traffic. Soo, I turned my wheel right or left to get back into the right lane when I did a 450 and nailed my driver door into a 4 foot wide tree at tremendous speeds. Rendered oblivious I bashed my head, broke my left arm in 3 places, suffered double collapsed lungs and a ruptured diaphragm. The house where i crashed in front of was my new friend Ginas grandmothers house, which whom I just met a week ago. She heard the noise and recogmized me at 1 in the morning and came out with a camera. She took R rated pics of the incident on the spot. When the jaws of life and paramedics arrived i was airlifted by helicopter to the hospital. Only to flatline on the chopper, recessitated, I get to the hospital and fall into a pnemonia which required an ice bath to lower my temperatures. Two weeks later I walk out of the hospital. I AM Superman.

Maybe you should find more important things to worry about...?

People are often frightened when shit like that happens.
Besides, you survived. This kind of stuff happens, like, all the time.

Even though I am only 20, I have never had a near-death experience. Life has always seemed so boring to me in that respect. I mean, I haven't spent life secluded away from danger. There has never been a moment in life where I felt I might die. Perhaps in a car I've been afraid, but never really thought that life has escaping me.
I guess I could say I'm disappointed, but at the same time scared that something extreme might take me by surprise.

It's always by surprise. I was very surprised when I was running, slipt and feel on the ground breaking my teeth and my elbow in half. So... yeah...

i've never understood why people don't want to "die alone". death means that you stop existing, so all feelings like loneliness stops existing.

Depends on how one views "dying." Emotionally? Or not?

It's also impossible to die alone. There are always people around. And not just people, but also animals, trees, the earth, galaxies and the universe: me.

I am glad you are ok. You are only alone for the time it takes to die and than you cease to exist. In the duration from dying to death even if you could interact with others how would you, why would you priortize it (over trying not to die or accepting death) and most importanty since your existance is about to cease why would it even matter to you (as opposed to those around you)?

Existing and living are one and the same. Once we cease to exist and the moments of right before we do what others do and say around us must have a severly dimished impact and soon will have no impact on on the deceased at all.

It reminded me of my favorite Bruce Lee qoute,

"If you love life don't waste time, for time is what life is made up of."

I did. You simply did not understand.
When you die, you go all by yourself. Even if someone die right beside you, you don't see what is going on with that person. You "go" alone.
