I read that. I think it's ridiculous. No one should be apologising for slavery. The only reason we got rid of slavery in the last 300 years is because we have machines that can do the job better. Slavery is a basic part of civilisation. Every great civilisation used slaves. If your people are enslaved, it's because you were too weak to defend yourselves, and you therefore deserved to become slaves. That is the model the world runs on. If anything the ex-slaves should apologise for being so fucking whiny about it.

It seems that you were too busy checking out the picture that you forgot to read this paragraph (which amusingly happens to be the fourth paragraph): Now for my three questions: 1. They believe it brings them peace of mind when all it probably gets them is a weird look from the Africans or at best a "thankyou". You weren't there to see what was going on. The Africans could have just as easily spit on them and yell "LICK ME! WE DON'T WANT YOUR PRETENTIOUS APOLOGIES AND SELF-PITY" but instead the African crowd responded like this: And for that we should be putting our hands together for the event instead of bitching about it, even if slavery is not something worth apologizing for. Because according to this account, the whites and blacks were brought even closer together because of the slavery card. If your going to expect to recruit any KKK members, get something better and read more, search Google, etc.
Honestly, I think you're underestimating, or taking too narrowly, Schleebenhorst's statements nicholas. That's not so much a racist ideology as a profoundly anti-compassion, anti-decency, anti-human one.
You mean, if I had a chance would I beg anyone for forgiveness if I felt guilty about something? Yes. But if I did not do the thing, it would of course be stupid. They do it because they want to be good Christians. They're not doing it because they're guilty of it. Its for their conscience. What else do you expect from Christians? These are the same people that harrass you about Christianity at your doorstep for crying out loud.
