Ok the most educated country with the highest standard of living ?

And a history of large scale massacre in foreign countries, largely using bombs?

But the standard of education available is comparable to the best in the world and all the wars for fought for non-religious reasons ( see we Muslims do not label it as Christian terrorism because we know it has nothing to do with religion

Let us maintain our perspective. What were the circumstances of these "massacres"?

You've got to realize super, its not only about having the power; its also about been seen to be having the power and then maintaining the status quo; its really hard and the options keep getting smaller and smaller everyday, for everyone.

To my knowledge there's no such thing as an "educated country" only it's people, and unfortunately they are never in superior numbers.

    For Muslim.

Oh! yea, yours is not a coherent religion. That's why it has different sects following the same BS book

YUSUFALI: They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them.

Bukhari:V4B52N260 "The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him.'"
Ishaq:550 ". The reason that Allah's Messenger ordered Andullash Bin Sad slain was because he had become a Muslim and used to write down Qur'an Revelation. Then he apostatized (rejected islam) after becoming suspicious of some verses which prophet changed after his suggestions.

Ishaq:551 The Messenger ordered Miqyas' assassination because he became a renegade by
    rejecting Islam."

Bukhari:V4B52N260 "Ali burnt some apostates publicly'

Bukhari, 5-59-632 Once Muadh paid a visit to Abu Musa and saw a chained man. Muadh asked, "What is this?" Abu Musa said, "(He was) a Jew who embraced Islam and has now turned apostate." Muadh said, "I will surely chop off his neck!"
    Bukhari Volume 9, Book 83, Number 17:
    Narrated 'Abdullah:

Allah's Apostle said, "The blood of a Muslim cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and
    leaves the Muslims."

Oh! yea, perhaps these quotes are "out of context" and perhaps I misinterpreted.

    Godless

Obviously I'm not going to do that. There's a heck of a lot of data contained in those tables. As you well know (Ms. Phd candidate) data analysis can be a tricky business, especially when it involves human variables. Many of those wars/interventions/actions were not unilateral. Countries call for us. The world calls for us. We respond. Also, don't forget that if you are going to call in a superpower to fight, people are going to get hurt. Also, this has indeed been the bloodiest period in human history, but that's due to technology, not any fundamental change in human nature.

Having said that, I abhorr war, and can only rationalize it on grounds that it really is human nature and that the only way we're going to "evolve" out of it is to get smarter about human nature and deal with it at its roots.

Hey you cannot get away with that, he explained the entire procedure for the data analysis he used, so that he well may have underestimated the body count!!

But don't worry there are plenty of other countries which did the same, so its not like there's anything new here.

But its like I've been saying; substituting religion with Prozac does not change anything; people are inherently attracted to violence and easily misled by it. Even better if we can paint the other side as enemies; then nobody even cares if its a little babe in a cradle that's being blown up. In fact the more you look at human history, its a wonder we all are still around. Tenacious, I guess.

Unfortunate for the Kurds that he wasn't stopped earlier though, don't you think, especially since he was killing them a lot longer and in larger numbers.

Not to mention that he would not have been there to begin with if he had not been installed as a control against another tyrant in Iran, who, by the way, was also installed in place of a democratic guy that wanted a fair price for his oil?

    Amazing, absolutely amazing!!

Are you implying that the US, in its moral capacity as world leader, should have gone in sooner and dealt with the situation? With force? I think that would end up on your list too...

He's on trial for that now.

Well this thread is officially hijacked. Evolution or Creation- no humans no for sure, however close scrutiny of life forms contradicts evolution.

I say human evolution is more of a fantasy than intelligent design.
