I've heard this mentioned somewhere -- While we sleep, chemicals get released in the body. And those that are released somehwere around 5 hours after going to sleep, are such that if we wake up then, we feel scared, anxious, our thinking distorted. Does anyone know more about this? Thanks for your input.
It'd explain a thing or two. My alarm clock once woke me up at 5 AM, and I couldn't remember how to turn it off. I tried to find the power cord and yank it out (it was a battery powered clock), and tried to cut the power supply off by unscrewing the lightbulb from my bedside lamp. In the process I managed to knock a cactus pot over.
When I wake up early I feel those symptoms but I'm afraid I don't know more about this except that I could reasonanly believe it happens.
