Ok so www.ebay.com barely loads and shows up without any images and I cannot bid or anything. What happened to ebay? Anyone experiencing the same problem?

maybe a problem with your security settings involving postdata?
have you changed any settings before you had these problems?

nope...its impossible to do that here...admins control everything. Its a server issue I am sure...firewall perhaps.

It could be a cheap solution employed by the Admin to deal with Viruses. It's noted that over the past couple of years Microsoft has patched some of their Image parses because of security flaws. If an Admin has control over hundreds of machines on multiple networks, he might not have organised for all the machines to update, so the work around would be to attempt to stop anything that could carry a virus that would utilise the flaw from loading.

So such sites as Ebay might have their images blocked for that reason. (Personally I would block them just for being Ebay, but thats a personal matter)

Or you got a bad router somewhere between you and ebay.

I notice thinngs like that when routers go out sometimes... and even when my own craps out.

dragon's right, I'm unable to see a couple of pictures but this has only happened on the "Items I'm Watching" list

I don't think it's a bad connection though, we have T1 at work

And routers DO suck, I have one at home off of which my sister's laptop gets its signal (wireless) but it sometimes keeps me from using the desktop computer's connection

Ebay worked fine for me. Lately there have been sites I could not visit... traceroute proves to me that the connection disappears after x number of hops. Checking sites that will pull the sites up from another location prove to me the site is up and a router is dead. Dslreports also tells me I got a dead router between A and B.
