sad to say, I'm kind of surprised.

    - Ding! Betty Edwards' books are pretty much what I'm talking about, only I'm trying to translate it to philosophical terms

I don't know if I can call it art because it is work related but this is a still for a 3D animation proposal I did.

Earlier in the thread, here and here.

I'm sure he could, if: i) he knew about it, ii) he could be bothered, and iii) we don't settle out of court if he ever contacts me.

It's a chance I'm willing to take for a photo like that.

ToR, I like your work. The pastel girl is interesting... is she drawn from a model, a photo, a mirror (?), or from imagination?

Do you think that your portraits have improved with practice?

I'm really impressed with the talent displayed in this thread, particularly the wide range of styles. Hats off to all who shared!

I think my favourite so far is sargentlard's caricature of his professor:
    or maybe this amazing piece:
    Beautiful!

I also really like the work of Varda, I don't know, and Doubtless_Wonder. Others too... but they're the ones that stand out for me.

And now for something completely different... a disembodied goat head with braces eating a radioactive baby!

My pics pete, the idea of her was taken from a pic in a magazine but it doesn't look like the pic, the man was taken from a pic in a book. I did improve with age, but sadly don't have the last pics to demonstrate.
Meanwhile lovely pics again here, excellent. Lovely photos too, here is one my boyfriend took of a firework exploding, it's my favourite pic. I call it the 'origin of life'.

Anything can be art. It's all in the eyes of the beholder.

i lit a candle to take this, so i guess it it kind of artistic, although it completely failed because i couldnt get the focus to be where i wanted
