You are all idiots. He's doing it because he's an illusionist and enjoys pushing the Human body to it's limits. He has done stunts like this before, which includes being frozen inside a block of ice. He creates specticals, he's an entertainer, that's his job. And it's making him rich.

I, for one, hope he continues to do these extreme stunts. Much more entertaining than watching Fear Factor.

Oh, I heard it he got the bends, and his eyes started bleeding, then he got a cerebral hemorrage and went comatose.

Actually, he bailed after 8 and half minutes or so.

Wait, is Blaine an illusionist or a stunt man? There is a difference, illusionists play mind games and stunt men actually do the amazing. When Blaine was suspended in a tiny box in London for 44 days without eating I wasn't really amazed, in a tiny box the body does very little moving and burns very little calories so this in fact aids his fasting. When he was frozen in Ice he may also have worn some kind of insulator suit that isn't visible to the naked eye. So is he an illusionist or a real daredevil? You have to remember Houdini did even more incredible stunts like making an elephant disappear in front of an audience; almost nothing is impossible in the world of illusionists.

He managed to hold his breath for around six minutes before his homies bailed him out. I heard about it on the radio this morning and immediately felt my time had been wasted.

Too bad they didn't pickle him, though!

 

I wonder why he thought he could do better at holding his breath than the best in the world. And that after first exhausting himself in another stunt.

 

Maybe you should try holding your breath for more than seven minutes.

The week-long stunt caused liver damage, pins and needles in his feet and hands, some loss of sensation and rashes, Blaine's doctor said.

Dr Murat Gunel said there was evidence of liver failure on the second day. "I told him he needed to get out of the water, and he refused me," he said.
