It's been two weeks since the missus and I got a new 6 week old bassett hound and we cannot find a name to suit her. My girlfriend got a pure basset hound as a puppy and he is now 10 months old. His name is Maximus Decimus Meridius..... yes after the fucking movie. Names... well, they hunt and smell real good. They also have a very mean bite if you piss em off. On the otherhand, they are relible and trustworthy. They'll follow you ANYWHERE and stand next to you. They also like gettin dirty. So for a girl: kinda gotta go with a butch name, but they have many human characteristics. So maybe a human name? Wouldn't be my choice, but float that boat.
