WHETHER TIME CAN BE COMPRESSED OR LENGTHENED ?

When doctors are performing operation and relatives are waiting outside,
that time everybody feels whether time can be compressed ?
There are several occassions when we like to compress the time.

Conversly there are many occasions we like to lengthen the time period.
For example when we are in happy mood we do not know how the time is passed.
    Whether time can be lengthened?

There's an important distinction to be made between subjective time (how fast time seems to be passing) and objective time (as measured by clocks). It's well known that subjective time varies in relation to objective time. Hence we have sayings such as "time crawled by" when we're bored, or dreading something about to happen, and, people facing death or combat may say "time seemed to slow down". Contrariwise, when we're having fun we may say "the hours flew by".

But none of this will change how fast time passes as measured by the clock.

einstein says time is relative, that mean there's no true way to measure absolute time?
